Sister Mary and children came home from Seattle. She had

been gone 3 1/2 years. We all were very glad to see her.

Monday, May 27, 1901

I went out to Paynesville Stevens Co. to survey for Morgan the

Co. Surveyor of that county. Came home June 6.

Thursday, July 04, 1901

Sister Mary went to Fairview with Kate & Frank who came up

the 2nd from there she goes home to Seattle Washington.

Sunday, July 14, 1901

Sunday morning July 14, 2 o'clock our boy Lloyd Grove Whilt

was born.

Friday, November 01, 1901

I sold my claim in Idaho to Geo. Dean for $975.00.

Wednesday, November 06, 1901

Commenced building my home. Have been trying to get

started for three years.

Friday, November 15, 1901

Bought H. Mohnkerns place for $790.00.

Friday, November 22, 1901

The old folks moved off of the old homestead having sold a

month ago. It seems to bad to see strangers around the old

place where we have all been together so many years. But

the children have all gone for themselves. And the old folks

could not take care of it any longer.
