| Monday, January 16, 1893 |
| I went to St. Cloud and our law suit was put off until next year |
| pending a settlement. I went up to Sauk Rapids and paid my |
| taxes and went up Monday night and saw Myrtle, had a nice |
| visit with her. I came home Tuesday and went up to camp got |
| there at night. |
| Saturday, February 25, 1893 |
| I came down home. There was a masquerade at Oak Park. I |
| went up a little while but was to tired to dance any. I came |
| home a little before supper. There was some fine |
| ??corutows. Joe came in from Sauk Rapids. |
| Five distinguished men died in January. vis Hays Ex |
| President of the U. S. Gen Butler Larmar an eminent jurist, |
| Brooks the great divine, and James G. Blaine the great |
| Statesman and twice secretary of state. |
| Sunday, March 05, 1893 |
| G. I. Harmon (the cook at our camp) and I went to C. Cheely's |
| to spend the evening. we had a fine time they are very fine |
| folks. |
| Thursday, March 09, 1893 |
| It began to rain at noon today kept it up until 3 P.M. then |
| began to snow, the same as a year ago today but the wind |
| did not blow as hard as it did last year. |
| Wednesday, March 22, 1893 |
| We broke camp and all the men went down river. It seems |
| sad to see them all go different ways. |
