I had to quit work at Milaca and came home. I was so sick. I
stood it just as long as I could. though I would stand it any
way, but had to give it up as my heart troubled me so much. It
knocks my ?? all out. And I may be sick for a long time. Well
such is life, trials, sickness, and disappointments. I try and
think it is all for the best.

I have been sick now almost seven weeks. How long the time
seems. I went down to Cap Harts last Saturday. I had not
been there for five years. The country does not look like it
used to except in two places. Sunday I came up and stayed
last Jan. went over to Hurts and stayed over night. I did not
enjoy myself very much as I felt to bad and all the people
seemed so different to what they used to be. People as well
as times change from year to year. Adn I suppose I have
changed myself. Little would I care how the people change if I
could only have my health again but I fear that I will never get
well again.

Mother, Mr. ?? and I was to Rhoda Merry's funeral today. She
died very sudden and leaves 5 little children the youngest a
little babe born a few hours before she died. Ed was in
Dakota and did not get back until after she was dead. It
seems only a little while ago since I was to her wedding.
