| Bro. Joe came home for a few days visit. He will go to |
| Kalispel Montana in a few days. Sorry to see him go so far |
| away but our family gets more scattered every day. |

| I started with Dean and several other men for Idaho. I was |
| sorry to leave Manda and the babies for I know they will be |
| very lonesome without me. |

| We arrived at Spokane Wash. Very nice city. I like it very |
| well. |

| We went to ??Vollmer and set up the tent and commenced |
| camping. |

| Anthony and I hired two ponies and went up in the hills 20 |
| miles to the Mica Mines. Looked around there a little saw |
| some nice timber and came back the 30. |

| Burke, Gibson and Ross left us and went to Spokane. |
