The 428 CJ was introduced on April 1,1968 .Pure power in a light weight body.

The 428 CJ was optioned in 2253 Fastbacks and 563 Hardtops.There were an unknown number of Convertibles ordered some have placed the number of units at 15 to 20 however no-one is sure due to poor record keeping.We have seen one number given which said the total Production run was *2816 units.But adding the numbers given above this is in question when you added the Convertible units.

In 1968 Hot Road Magazine put the 428 Cj Mustang thur a quarter mile running 106 MPH @ 13.56 seconds
