The 1968 Mustang was changed very little when compared
to the 1967.However most of the changes were Goverment
regulated for safety.Body restyling can be found in a minor grill change-the
'67 has a horizontal grill bar which cross from left to
right through the center and has the Gt lamps mounted on
it.Also not so easy noticed is the running pony emblem on
the front grill is substantially smaller than previous
versions.
The '68 had the fog lamps mounted in
the grill.
The 68 Mustang carried only a chrome trim rather than
the simulated side scoop as on the'67.
There were other option packages offered throught the
model year 1968.Specials from area dealer groups-the 1968
1/2 Mustang 428 CJ (introduced April 1,1968) and the Mustang Sprint in both six and
V-8 engines.On the six-clyinders you got pop-open gas
cap/GT stripe/and full wheel covers.The v-8s included Wide
