The Following e-mail was sent to us by Ed about his 1968 Branded Mustang Hi, I have a 1968 "Branded" Mustang which was a dealer installed factory option. It consists of 4" round medallions on each roof corner post with a running horse (not the standard mustang) circled with a rope and the word "Branded" under the horse. Two 4" wide gold stripes run the whole body length on each side. According to an article that Mustang Monthly wrote about this option, it was suppose to have a "PAISLEY" vinyl top. I have a picture of the car with it's first owner and written on the back is "my new car" and the picture shows the top is plain white which is the way I got it in Reno,NV thru an estate sale. The car has a 289 with a C4 and factory air and is currently in the garage for a face lift. (e-mail #2) The pictures I sent are of the medallions of the "Branded" Mustang. There are no part numbers stamped on the back side, only the words (right) and (left). I will send the info you requested as soon as I get it together. My daily driver (31,000 miles last year) is a 68 coupe with a 200 six with a ported head and 2bbl carb,Pertronix ignition,"blinker" hood and chrome mag wheels. When I was stationed at Hickam AFB,HI , I bought a 68"Hawaiian" Mustang. It was shipped there with no heater installed. Take care,
