Convention Starter 101 Program
Want to start your own RPG
convention or tournament? Don't know how? Contact us! Pooling the
experience and knowledge of dozens of members just like you, we
have put together a comprehensive development program in order
to help you get your convention started on the right note.
Bring your ideas into focus with the help of fellow organizers.
We can even establish contacts between your group and others in your
region.
One of the hardest things to figure out when starting a new convention
or tournament is how to obtain the right to play events sanctionned by
various gaming firms. Many, like the well known
RPGA Network from TSR, offer specific programs for member organizations.
In most cases, the information you want isn't easy to find.
That is why we established some contacts for you. Let us know if you want
to run a sanctionned events from one of the following companies and we will
make the initial contacts for you. If you are members of the
TSR "RPGA Network", you can even get player and judge points for your
participation in CRPGA events! A great opportunity.
CHAOSIUM
From the makers of such hit games as "Call of Cthulhu" and "Pendragon", comes
a vast array of opportunities for convention organizers. The following are
currently available:
"Mythos" card game Demos.
Adventures based on Chaosium settings.
Join the Chaosium "Missionnary" Program.

TSR INC.
This is one company that does not need any introductions.
Following the short dissapearance of the
RPGA Network and the arrival of Wizards of the Coast,
this company is, once again, jumping at full speed into the
convention circuit. Many opportunities present themselves:
"Spellfire" card game Demos.
Adventures based on TSR settings.
Earn Player and Judge points.
Prizes for TSR events.
Obtain RPGA sanctionned events.

Certifications by others is a great thing, but we must not forget our own
increasing number of artilces, games, adventures, tournaments, rating grids,
and more! Convention organizers from Canada can now obtain an "Official" status
for their events. Have your tournaments or conventions recognized on the national and
international levels. We'll even take care of publicity for you. What do you need
to do? Not much. Just CONTACT US and we will tell you what is needed. It's as easy as
killing your first Ogre!
