amily newsletters have been around for several decades but with the advent of the World Wide Web's Internet, many more family clubs and individuals are putting their family newsletters online where they can be read by folks all over the world.Family newsletters and genealogical publications began as a way to keep relatives informed about both current events among relatives and about their family heritage. Some are devoted exclusively to family history, while others are more like modern newspapers and contain obituaries of family deaths, births, engagements and marriages, details about family reunions and general news. Print versions can range from simple typed pages to fancy commercially printed versions with color photos.
Online versions can now out-do all the print versions because of the unique versatility of the computer and the Internet. All can use color, photos and many are now including music and even movies.
