WILLIAM H. ("Bill") JOHNSON DONALSONVILLE, Ga.-- William H. ("Bill") Johnson died at a hospital here 27 Mar., aged 61. Bill was born in Early County, Ga., son of Mrs. Lucille Womble Johnson and the late William E. Johnson. He was the owner and operator of Johnson Well and Pump Service for the past 31 years. He was a veteran of the US Army. Bill was a member of First Baptist Church here. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery here. Survivors include his mother, of Lucille, Ga.; wife, Mrs. Pat Easom Johnson, Donalsonville; sons Russ Johnson, Demopolis, Al. and Bret Johnson, Donalsonville; sister, Barbara Johnson Hunter, Columbia, Al.; brother, Earl Johnson. *** E. RUTH JOHNSON ROSEBORO, NC.-- E. Ruth Johnson died at her home here 29 Mar., aged 77. Ruth was a homemaker. Burial was in Parkersburg Cemetery. Survivors include daughters, Elizabeth Peterson and Sarah L. Johnson, both of Roseboro and Valerie Marshall, Spring Hope; sons David N. Johnson, Garland, Marvin ("Cook") Johnson, Sanford and Scott Johnson, Autryville; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grand- child. *** MARSHALL H. JOHNSON Sr. ![]() SEVEN LAKES NC-- Marshall Howard Johnson Sr. of Seven Lakes died 22 Apr., aged 75. Marshall was a veteran of World War II. He retired after 30 years of service with the First National State Bank in Newark, NJ. A memorial service was held at West End Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Ann E. Johnson; daughter Karen Belig, Raleigh; sons Marshall H. Johnson Jr. and Ronald E. Johnson, both of Waldwick, NJ and Kenneth R. Johnson, Raleigh; 4 grandchildren. RICHARD E. JOHNSON Sr. CORINTH, Miss.-- Richard E. Johnson died of heart failure in Orlando, Fla.14 Apr., at age 70. Richard was a retired warehouse manager and former resident of Memphis, Tn. He was a veteran. He was a member of First Methodist Church in Corinth. Survivors include his wife, Virginia C. Johnson; daughter, Luanne Gillock, Memphis; son, Richard E. Johnson Jr., Kingsport, Tn.; 4 grandchildren. SALLIE JOHNSON COATSBENSON, NC-- Sallie Johnson Coats of Benson died 23 Apr., aged 89. Sallie was born in Johnston County. Burial was in Banner Chapel Church Cemetery. Survivors include daughters Edna Coats Thompson, Hobbs, NM Wilma Coats Johnson, Godwin, Shelby Coats Johnson, Raleigh; sons Bryan D. Coats, Hyatts- ville, Md. And Landis R. WILLIE B. JOHNSON FOXWORTH, Miss.--Willie B. Johnson of Foxworth died 22 Mar., aged 84. Willie was the widow of Enoch Johnson. She was a member of Woodlawn Pentecostal Church. She was also preceded in death by her son, Willie Johnson. Burial was in Foxworth Cemetery. Survivors include grandsons Jeffery Johnson and Michael Johnson. *** LOUISE JOHNSON PHELPS EARLE, Ark.-- Louise Johnson Phelps died of heart failure at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis 31 Mar., aged 79. Louise was a retired school teacher. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Earle Garden Club. She was the wife of Wren Phelps. Burial was in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Ar. Survivors include her husband; sons John Phelps, Southaven, Ms. And David Phelps, West Memphis; and 1 grandchild. FLETCHER JOHNSTON CHINQUAPIN, NC-- Fletcher W. Johnson of Chinquapin died 27 Mar at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston, aged 79. Burial was in East Duplin Memorial Gardens in Beula- ville. Survivors include his wife, Myra S. Johnson, Chinquapin; daughters Betty Callaway, Chesapeake, Va. Carolyn Weis, Chinquapin and Fran Lewis, Apex; sons Dennis and Keith Johnson, both of Chinquapin; sisters, Omage Sullivan and Louise Willette, both of Winnabow, Ann King, Rocky Mount an Elizabeth Peterson, Bellefountain, Oh.; brother, Frank Johnson, Cary; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
