Andrew B Frazier (1752 at Inverness, Scotland - 17 Dec 1838 at West Finley Twp, Washington Co, PA) married in Scotland in 1772, Christiana Ross (1754 at Invernesshire, Scotland - 9 Oct 1842 at West Finley Twp.), the daughter of William Ross and Nancy _____. Andrew and Christiana migrated to the colonies in 1774 on the ship Jeanette, landing at Bladensburg, Maryland. They worked off their passage on a tobacco plantation, then, in 1786 migrated with other Jeanette passengers to Washington County, PA, settling in Chartiers Twp. In 1798, Andrew purchased "Big Meadow", 400 acres in Finley Twp near what became Good Intent, PA, where he established a productive farm. It was during these early years in Washington Co. that Nancy Ross, mother of Christiana, was attacked and murdered by Indians near her log cabin. Andrew, a well-educated man, taught in the early schools of Finley Twp. He and his wife were very early members of the Three Ridges Presbyterian Church at West Alexander, PA. Both are buried in the old Three Ridges churchyard.
