The Running Blind advance CDs will be ready on Tuesday (Dec 18th).  A simple 4-sided black and white sleeve is being made to insert and the CDs will be mailed immediately after that.  This will mean that everyone will have the music well before the official release (coming out on February 11th), even though the definitive artwork (almost finished) and the video will be sent separately, later.  Ken apologizes for the delay in having all the details fixed, and reminds you that two things really held us up and those were the Hensley/Lawton project and the re-compiling of both Running Blind and A Glimpse Of Glory.

Last Monday (Nov. 12th), Ken Hensley and band recorded promo videos for 6 songs from the new album Running Blind!  These videos will be included (together with some studio footage) on the bonus Quicktime video CD to be sent with the advance orders of Running Blind.  Also, the new single will be sent as a bonus too!  Hopefully the wait will be worth it!

We're not sure how it happened but somewhere in cyberspace the Running Blind advanced order database has gone missing.  You may know that the website is managed in Rio de Janeiro and the combination of palm trees, sangria, bikinis, one note sambas and Pelé can give even the sturdiest PC a wobble now and then.  With Ken Hensley doing his Alan Whicker impersonations recently, driving the new CD and solo career strategy, jumping on the Manchester United bandwagon and moaning that he can't get on the golf course, between us we seem to have lost this database.  We’ve defragged to excess but the stratosphere is a big place.

We've recovered some of the data from backups but feel it is appropriate to ask you who were not yet charged in your credit cards, to replace your orders here! (Martin Darvill, Ken Hensley's manager)

Special guest joins Wetton and Hensley interview

On September 4, John and Ken met at Liscombe Park to discuss their forthcoming reunion concert, and to record a TV interview documenting the life and times of Uriah Heep. And during John's sojourn with Heep, it would appear there were indeed plenty of life and times in addition to 2 best selling albums and a trailblazing tour of USA major venues. 
In those days, Heep were archetypal rock and roll prangsters, and interviewers would always brush up on Monty Python and cockney rhyming slang before attempting a serious interview. Expect the unexpected was the order of the day.
So, anxious not to disappoint, our heroes decided to invite a special guest to help explain what life was really like in 1975/76. Dave Owen, Heep's fan club guru, who was conducting the interview, had taken many tranquilizers in advance of the interview [just in case……….] and had watched the entire works of M. Python / Eastenders so as to join the Wetton Hensley wavelength.
But the cameraman had no insider knowledge……………………….

Confirmed!!  Ken Hensley will join Uriah Heep once again for a one-night only concert on December 7th 2001 - The Magician's Birthday Party, at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London, UK!!  Read all details and join the party by subscribing here!  Ken will also be playing as a guest on The John Lawton Band gig of December 6th, at The Borderline, tickets available here!  Completing the weekend, don't forget about the Ken Hensley Band concert of December 8th, at The Forum, together with John Wetton!  Tickets here.

Ken Hensley will be meeting the graphic artist, who is providing the cover art for the limited edition of Running Blind, on Thursday.  As soon as the art is finished, it will be sent to St. Louis together with the Master CD, and the advance order copies will be produced and sent!  The final artwork for the main release will eventually be sent to everyone who ordered the advance copies, along with the edited video.

The December 8th concert, featuring Ken Hensley and John Wetton live at The Forum in London, will be probably recorded for a DVD and CD release!  More details soon...
