My Pyramid Paper

The Great Pyramid at Giza holds many secrets within the measurements of its masonry, from fully developed geometry to advanced astronomical knowledge that prove that an advanced civilization built the pyramid earlier than the fourth dynasty by Khufu. The measurements at Giza show that the ancient Egyptians had the knowledge of pi; they knew the length of the year as 365.24 days. This was not known by modern man until the 1900's. They knew the length of the solar year as well. The grand gallery is pointed at a star that went supernova over 10,000 years ago which discounnts that the pyramid was built during the 4th dynasty by Khufu. The placement of the pyramid is such that it is the only site in the world that is strong enough to support the thousands of tons of limestone and granite. The placing of the pyramid to within three minutes of true north, south, east, and west is a feat that modern man cannot achieve; this all proves that an ancient civilization built the pyramid at Giza, and not Khufu which is the premise of almost every Egyptologist today(Tompkins 70).

The Great Pyramid shows with its measurements the unit of pi. John Taylor, a mathematician during the 1800's, wondered why the pyramid had an angle of 51 degrees 51 degrees for the faces of the pyramid and not the usual 60 degrees of most equilateral triangle pyramids. After calculating the base of the Great Pyramid of Giza, he proposed that an advanced civilization had built the only structure that would incorporate the value of pi or the Golden Section ration of 1 to 1.618...(supposedly discovered by Pythagoros). A geographical degree multiplied by 360 degrees gave the figures that were built so the sircumference was to scale with the perimeter and the radius was to scale with the height of the pyramid. Dr. Stuart Tyson Smith stated in an interview that,"The Egyptians certainly did have a practical conception of it (pi), and no big suprise!"

Many people have measured the base of the Great Pyramid, but the engineer surveyor, Piazzi Smyth, and his Arab workers in 1865 measured the base of the pyramid to be 9,140 inches. When multiplied by 4, the base of the pyramid equals 36,524.24 inches (Tompkins). Looking at this number, he divided by 100 and astonishly the number 365.24, the exact number of days in a solar tropical year (Bell 5), and the same figure can be found in other features of the design. Further measurements appear to give the exact figures for the eccentricity of the earth's orbit, for the mean distance of the earth from the sun, for the period of the earth's full precessional cycle ( a period of over 25,000 years), as well as the mean density of earth (Lemesurier 8). Smyth asked the question, "Why was it built and who built it?" into his own ideas and theories (filling 600 pages of calculations) grounded in his measurements about extraordinary relationships between the Great Pyramid and the Earth and events supposedly prophesied in the measurements of the inner passages of the Great Pyramid (Mendelssohn 206).

The height of the pyramid 5,449 inches does not evoke any mysteries in itself, but when the average height of land above sea level was measured with sophisticated satellites and computers, the average is exactly 5,449 inches. This leads researchers to believe that the ancient people that built the pyramid meant for it to be seen at any time during the ages of ice and the ages of desert. Smyth found that the ratio of height to width was 10:9, and thought it might indicate the earth's journey around the sun. He multiplied 10 to the 9th and his answer 91,840.00 which is also an astonishing accurate figure for the radius of the earth's orbit around the sun. The present estimation of the orbit lies between 91 and 92 million miles. Smyth said,"(it) revealed a most surprisingly accurate knowledge of high astronomical and geographical physics...nearly 1500 years earlier than the extremely inffinite beginning of such things among the ancient Greeks." Smyth obviously believed that an extremely advanced civilization had built the pyramid.

The Grand Gallery rises at an angle of 26 degrees through the center of the pyramid, and connects the ascending passage to the Kings Chamber. The real purpose for this gallery is not known, but the most plausible explanation for the gallery is that it was used when the pyramid was being built as a telescope. The main reason for this assumption is that a star named Vella X exploded some time around 10,000 B.C., and the Smithsonian/Harvard Institution for Astrophysics computed the precession of the stars and found that the Grand Gallery points less than 4 degrees away from the position of Vella X (Noone 153). The explosion of Vella X was the most significant astronomical sight ever seen with the naked eye on the face of the earth, and the ancient people who built the pyramid obviously wanted to study the strange occurence.

The Grand Gallery has also been used as a prophetic calendar. The pyramid was built an estimated 4,517 years ago in 2623 B.C., using a system of an inch for a year an imaginary line drawn from the floor of the Grand Gallery and the Ascending Passage to the base of the pyramid is the year 2623 B.C., then following the one inch to one year ratio where the ascending passage meets the descending passage the year is 1,584 B.C., the exodus of Jews from Egypt. The distance from the beginning of the Ascending Passage to the beginning of the Grand Gallery is 1,485 inches, when added to 1,584, and taking fractions into account the beginning of the Grand Gallery is April 3, 33 A.D., the crucifixion of Christ. This shows that if infact the Egyptians did build the pyramids 4,517 years ago they had already forseen the future. With the help of whom??

The placement of the Great Pyramid was by no means an accident; in fact, the Earth has enough land area to provide three billion possible building sites, but the advanced civilization that built the pyramid built it at the exact center of the Earth's land mass. That is, its East-West axis corresponds to the longest land parallel across the Earth, passing through Africa, Asia, and America (Bell 2). The Pyramid's immense weight could only have been supported by a solid stone mountain and indeed, a flat solid granite mountain is located just beneath the surface of the ground directly under the pyramid. Peter Lemesurier stated, "If one wished to have an architectural symbol for the planet Earth itself, one could scarcely do better than take the Great Pyramid."

The Pyramid covers 13 acres of desert, and while being the oldest building on the face of the earth, the Great Pyramid is the most accurately oriented, being laid only three minutes off exact due north, south, east, and west. Modern man's best attempt at aligning a building to the exact cardinal points, the Paris Observatory, is six minutes of a degree away of true north (Pahl 1). During the construction of the Great Pyramid the compass was not yet invented. This begs for an explanation as to if the ancient people had the advanced technology needed to build a more accurately oriented building than can be built today with modern technology (Hodges 43).

Suppose for a moment, the teachings that Universities all over the world teach about the Great Pyramid being a tomb for Khufu (Van Loon 26) are false. The missing mummy of Khufu begins with the entrance of Al-Am'mun in the ninth century A.D.. He was driven by rumers that they would discover treasure. "Ma'mun's Hole" refers to the hole that he tunneled on the pyramid's northern face where he accidently joined with the descending corridor leading downward from the origional entrance. The entrance to the Ascending Passage was blocked however by a series of enormous plugs of solid granite, so Am'mun was the first person to walk on the smooth surface of the Grand Gallery and to enter the empty Kings Chamber (Hancock 296). If Am'Mun was the first person to gaze upon the Kings Chamber since the pyramid was sealed, the assumption that the pyramid was built for Khufu has to be false, and another assumption must be made. Either the pyramid was built to incorporate the dimensions of the Earth or built for a still unknown reason.

Peter Lemesurier stated, "The Great Pyramid is the oldest prophetic voice on the planet...it has proven itself right with the Exodus and with Christ's crucifixion. It will prove itself right about its teachings about the coming tribulation." Referring to the time line in the Grand Gallery, Lemesurier hints to the date of which Richard Noone, in his book 5/5/2000 states there will be massive changes on Earth that will change forever and will once again erase advanced civilization from the planet. There are many secrets at Giza including geometry and astronomy to name a few. An ancient civilization built the pyramid with a knowledge that humankind has just recently re-discovered. This, as well as the placing of the pyramid, proves that in a time before recorded history, the Great Pyramid was erected by a great race of people that had astonishingly accurate and near perfect building skills, which our world has yet to see again.

I hope you have enjoyed my paper. I spent a long time researching and finding the sources of information. Please feel free to critique and ask questions. I AM NOT AN EXPERT and this is just a hobby of mine, so again don't be TOO critical....

Thanks for taking the time to read it
