Dorenne -
Major Deity
Deity of: Nature and living with nature.
Form: Female in natural garb. Various by culture.
Colours: green
Cardinal Direction: East.  East is the source, the beginning - the place we all come from.  Dorenne is of the nature that we have originated from.
Alignment: Neutral Neutral, mostly on Dorenne's philosophy that humanity is part of the natural world and the natural world is neither 'good' nor 'evil'.  Both of these terms are arbitrarily chosen by humans to describe their actions, and human actions are better judged on their alignment with natural forces.
Church and Following: The church of Dorenne does not fit well in the Kendrish pantheon. It is only referred to later in the Ascensa-Illuminat and then not as a full member of the pantheon. Writings from the period do not help much as they are contradictory about the position of Dorenne. Later writings (post-Ascensa-Illuminat) include Dorenne, most importantly the holy Tracts of Holynoake, The Unfolding Path of Kendra and Missionarian.
Although Dorenne is now firmly associated with the pantheon, the church of Dorenne differs considerably from the others in style and form. The priesthood of Dorenne is made up of druid-like priests. Churches tend to be small and wooden, preferably settled in a park or natural setting. Most of Dorenne worship takes place on frontiers and away from large cities, making Dorenne an almost invisible church to the powers in the capitals.
This is not to imply, however, that Dorenne's following isn't large. Amongst the peasantry near to the wilds, this church holds great sway as the common folk will often rely on natures' fruits.
Priests of Dorenne are focused on helping people subsist naturally in a wilderness environment.
The minor deities of Dorenne are the only Kendrish deities of non-human subject (except Harpan in specific cases). It is these deities that give druids and rangers their special abilities in nature. Although some druids and rangers may specialize in the area of one deity, all of deities in the house of Dorenne are needed for their powers.
The minor deities may only influence nature on a specific basis, they are not the ultimate controllers of nature. It is important to note that the natural non-living elements (earth, wind, water, weather, fire, magic, the sun and moon, etc.) are the realm of Oram (see theology).
In general, Dorenne's followers are pacifistic but are not opposed to violence on principle - it is a natural part of the human condition.  Violence is opposed primarily on the 'unnaturalness' of the act.  Killing to defend or feed one's children is 'natural', bloody purges of political opponents is not.
Relations within the Pantheon:  Dorenne has good relations with the churches of Venalena and Harpan, both being more naturalistic in nature. Kreav is viewed as the prime enemy of Dorenne's way, with the forces of Anacor running a close second.
Kreav is charged with bringing civilisation to the frontier and to the lost.  Dorenne and Kreav often disagree on what constitutes 'lost', and on how much civilisation is actually required.  Anacor is more of a threat philosophically, being the primary deity of human civilisation, but conflict is kept to minimum as Anacor's power is largely only felt in cities.
Dorenne is usually the first church of conversion for subdued barbarians, and in this role will receive considerable support from followers of other deities.
While the church of Dorenne is often in conflict with the rest of the pantheon, it must be remembered that all druids/priests of Dorenne are loyal to the pantheon as a whole and will defend it against infidels.
Dorenne and Priests: Priests of Dorenne are stylistically different than their compatriots in other churches.  In style and ritual, they are closer to 'druids'.  Skills will be useful in natural settings.

Notes on the following minor deities- This list is by no means comprehensive and your GM may add or subtract from this list. All deities listed are Minor Deity, House of Dorenne. The form of the deities will vary by culture. These deities may take non-human form but are still human in essence. Many of these deities are descendants of barbarian deities adapted to follow the Kendrish pantheon and may still carry some of their previous traits (GM's choice).
