Agnes Barila was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. She lives in the Nob hill area, and went to school at City College and Heald. Agnes has one son, and two grandchildren. After she graduates from L.E.N. she wants to work at home doing nationwide networking. In her spare time, she likes sewing, reading, and traveling. Agnes’ dream for the future is to grow old with her grandchildren, and see them grow. To see all her family, and friends healthy is what makes her happy. Also, to see President Obama serve another term will make her happy.

Basudev Wagle came from Burma about 10 months ago. He is single and came to L.E.N. Institute about 1 month ago. He likes to be here to learn more skills. After he graduates from L.E.N. he will look for job, save money, and get married. His perfect job is working with a computer. In his spare time on the weekends he likes to talk with his friends. He likes most Burmese and American food.

Viktoria Devinova is from Kyrgyztan. She is 28 years old. She currently lives in San Francisco and has been here for a year. She is single and studied accounting in her country. After she graduates from L.E.N. she wants to find a job where she can work as an accountant. She doesn’t have any children. Her career goal is to work in Business Administration.

Tuul Byaruuzanawas born in Mongolia and attended Mongolia University for 5 years. Now she lives in San Francisco, California for 1 year and is not quite used to the cold windy weather as opposed to snow in Mongolia. She has been studying English at L.E.N. for 1 month and is looking forward to an internship. She hopes this results in a better, more comfortable life for herself and her daughter. She enjoys creative sewing and crocheting in her leisure time. She favors the clean air and water at the beach and attends Mongolian Church.

Beteley Gebremariam was born in Ethiopia. She has lived in the U.S. for five months. She is married. She doesn’t have children yet. She lives with her husband. In L.E.N. Institute, she likes the learning style. After she graduates from L.E.N. Institute she wants to search for a job. Her favorite subject at L.E.N. is typing and English. In her spare time, she likes to read books. Her favorite foods are Ethiopian foods (njora). On the weekend she likes to cook and enjoy herself with her husband. She likes to wear the color black.

Emerald Gilbert was born in San Francisco. She is 26 years old, single and has a 5-year-old daughter. Emerald likes computer lessons and her favorite subject at L.E.N. is Access. She wants to be a receptionist in the medical field. In her spare time, Emerald prefers dancing, watching comedy shows and playing with her child. In the future, she wants to become an actress and her idea of the best job is being in a movie. If Emerald could change the world, she would provide housing for the homeless people. Let’s encourage and help Emerald to achieve her dream, and maybe one day we will see all homeless people having their own houses.

Ngawang Gyaltsen was born in Himachal, India, where his family moved from Tibet. He is married and has two sons who are ten and nine years old. In India he studied Buddhist Philosophy and that is why his heart full of peace and compassion. He enjoys a lot of things like nice food, reading, meditating, etc. He has lived in San Francisco since May 2008. Ngawang enjoys coming to LEN Institute and working on computers. He hopes that his education at L.E.N. will help him to find a job after graduation.

Anna Khachatryan was born in Talen, Armenia. She has lived here for two months. She lives in San Francisco. She is single. She has one brother. Her favorite food is Armenian and she likes sweet things. The things she likes at L.E.N. are the students and instructors who are friendly. Also, that you can train for your basic skills for office work especially typing. Her favorite subject at L.E.N. is everything. Her dream for the future is to be in the medical field. After she graduates, she wants to be a doctor. On weekends, she likes to swim. She does not like TV. When her family or her friend is happy, she is happy too.

Armen Khachatryan is a newcomer at L.E.N. Institute. He is from Armenia. He has lived in San Francisco for two months. He is very friendly and intelligent. Now he is a single man. He thinks that L.E.N. is a friendly environment. After he graduates from L.E.N., he would like to find a part-time job and go to City College. He likes to swim, drink beer, and to talk with friends during his spare time. He is a programmer and has a master degree of Informatics and Applied Mathematics. He hopes to have his own business, like having a programming company.

Lai Yen Leong is from Malaysia. She has been living in San Francisco for seven years. She has two boys. She has been at L.E.N. only three days, and she likes all of the training subjects. She wants to become a Medical Office Assistant after she graduates from L.E.N. In her spare time, she reads books, cooks and uses the computer for email and job search. Sushi is her favorite food. She likes the TV show American Idol. Her dream in the future is to travel around the world.

Denise Mendoza was born and brought up in San Francisco. Things she likes about L.E.N. Institute are working on a different variety of programs, practicing and learning computer typing, ten-key, and meeting with different types of people from different locations. She is planning to work in a hospital as a receptionist upon completion of her graduation in L.E.N. She expressed how helpful this program is for her career. Spending time with her kids makes her happy. She likes different kinds of spicy foods. Her perfect job idea is to work independently; she prefers to put her own skills and determination in her work.

If he could change the world, he hopes everyone will speak only one language.

The thing she likes most about L.E.N. is the atmosphere because it is like big family. People at L.E.N. are friendly and also you can train your basic skills for office work, especially typing. Her favorite subject at L.E.N. is typing. Her dream for the future is to type very fast. After she graduates she wants to work as an investment banker. She can apply her analytical skills for mathematical knowledge and her previous background. On the weekends she likes to play soccer. Her favorite TV show is hockey especially NHL. When she sees how many words she types right now it makes her laugh.

Nerissa Vergara is 28 years. old. She was born and raised in San Francisco. She currently lives in the Mission district. She has a 2-½ yr. old. On the weekends Nerissa takes care of her son, running errands and she likes to go shopping. Her favorite subject at L.E.N. is working on Excel. After graduating from L.E.N. Nerissa plans on finding a job as an Administrative Medical Assistant. Once she finds her dream job she would like to further pursue her schooling in the medical field. Spending time watching movies and reading with her son is what makes her happy, or playing his favorite sport, which is baseball.
