BACK TO WORK

Congratulations to Rosa Coronel, July, ‘09, a student at L.E.N. Institute. She graduates on July 8, 2009. She got a job before she finished her course at L.E.N. Institute. Today, the 1st of July she started her job at Internet Archive. She is hired full-time and her duties are photo scanning. She scans books and other materials at the company. The company offered $11 an hour plus benefits, which was very reasonable to her. I hope she is enjoying her new job.

Congratulations to Mariya Kopynets, May '09. She is working at BHS Handyman Construction Services in San Francisco. Her position is Receptionist and her job duties are to answer the phones and general clerical work. Her salary is $12 an hour. She was hired as a permanent employee with no benefits, yet. She started on April 6, 2009 working part-time (20 hours weekly). Her referral source was networking through a friend. Good work, Mariya.

Congratulations to Viktoria Devinova, July, ‘09, who began employment on July 1, 2009 at Bo Concepts, a furniture store located in San Francisco. She started long before her training end date. Her position is a permanent, full-time bookkeeper. Her job duties will be keeping records of business transactions of the company. She will be earning $40k per year. Viktoria was referred by Robert Half, Finance & Accounting. Viktoria, congratulations and we hope you stop by and visit us at L.E.N. Institute.

Congratulations to Adriana Garin, May, ‘09. She has begun employment with Internet Archives located in San Francisco. She started on June 22, 2009, her position is Scaning Clerk. She knew about this job from her Employment Specialist and the director at L.E.N. Her duties include scanning files. This is a full time job. Her salary is $11 per hour. I hope she loves her new job.

Congratulations to Linda Lee, Mar, ‘09. Linda started her new job on May 5, 2009 at Arriba Juntos. Her position is Case Manager and Administrative Assistant. Her job duties are to meet with youth and help identify programs for them. Her salary is $14.00 an hour. This is a permanent, full-time job with benefits, too! We hope she enjoys working at her new job. Good luck, Linda!

Congratulations to Dulcineia Nelson, May, ‘09. She is working at Voice of Pentecost Church in San Francisco. She started this job before finishing her training at L.E.N. Institute. Dulcinea found this job through her friend. Her position is Maintenance Technician. Her duties included hostess and reception for special events and conferences, cleaning the church, ordering cleaning supplies, training volunteers, and she is responsible for church and office security. This is a part-time job. Her salary is $10 per hour. She also has another job at Language World Services. Her position is Interpreter and her job duty is interpretation for Brazilian language speakers. This is an on-call, part time job. Her salary is $25 per contract. I hope she enjoys her new jobs.

Congratulations to Qiao Ping Tan, She has begun woking with On Lok Services on May 14, 2009. She found her job through the non-profit agency, "Cameron House." Her position is Caregiver, and her job duty is to take care of the elderly at their home. This is a part-time job, 24 hours per week. Her salary is $11.50 per hour. She was hired as a permanent employee with benefits. I hope she will enjoy her job.

Congratulations to Guo Li Weng, May, ‘09, who started working for S.F Soup Company on June 30, 2009 in a permanent, full-time job with benefits. Her starting salary is $10 per hour. The company is located on Montgomery Street, downtown. Her position is prep cook; and she assists in other areas of the kitchen, as needed. She follows procedures for existing recipes, maintains and organizes all of the food areas. Good luck, I hope she enjoys her new job.

Congratulations to Yhlas "Malik" Yagshiyev, June, ‘09, for his new job at Placement Pros. located in San Francisco. Malik ended his training at L.E.N. and ten days after he finished his training, Malik started his new job. He found this job through the Internet. He made a list of security agencies and went to each one. At the 6th or 7th one, he got the job. His position is as a Security Officer. He is responsible for emergencies and security, and customer safety at hotels. At construction sites he guards equipment and at garages, he guards cars. Malik’s job is full-time. His salary is $11.00-$13.00/hour depending on where he works. He doesn’t have benefits yet, but he will get health care in August. He loves his job.
