(1) Count Rutpert, "le Fort", Wormsgau IV, born in Mainz, Rhenanie-Platinat, Germany about 815. Died September 15th, 866 in Brissarthe, Anjou, France. Count of Blois and Paris. According to the Columbia Encyclopedia, he was a French warrior and marquess of Neustria. Rutpert joined the rebellious nobles againt Charles II, Emperor of the West. They invited Louis the German to invade Franch in 858. Rutpert reconciled with Charles in 861 and was charged with defense of the country from between the Seine the Loire, from where he repelled the Bretons and Normans. He was killed while fighting the Normans. Married Aelis de Tours and had son Robert.

(2) Robert I, King of France, died 923. Son of Rutpert and Aelis Wormsgau. Married Beatrice
de Vermandois and had son Hugh and daughter Adela of Paris. Robert, then Count of Paris, was elected king in 922 but was killed in battle at Soissons in June of 223.

(3) Hugh Capet "the Great", Duke of France, born 895, died June 16th, 956 in Deurdan, Germany. Son of Robert and Beatrix. Also called "Hugh the white", "Hugh le Grand", or "Hugues le Blanc". Duke of France, Count of Paris, and one of the most powerful men in France. Hugh and
Louis IV were engaged in a struggle for power in France until 945 when Hugh incarcerated him. After a year he was released and Hugh finally submitted to him in 951, after being excommunicated by French and German councils as well as the Pope. Married Hedwig of Germany and had son Hugh.

(4) Hugh Capet I, King of France, born 938, died 996. Son of Hugh and Hedwig. He won the election to kingship after the death of Louis V and through force of arms, support from the church, as well as purchasing allegiances he managed to secure order through his kingdom. Hugh married Adelaide

(5) Robert II, "the pious", King of France, born March 27th, in Orleans, France. Son of Hugh and Adelaide Capet. Married Constance
of Arles and Toulouse and had son Henri and daughter Adela (born 1009, died January 8th, 1079). For more information on Robert, please visit this link. Robert is described by his biographer, the monk Helgald of Fleury-sur-Loire, to be: "gentle, graceful, and well versed in literature", as well as tall and handsome.

(6) Henri Capet I, King of France, born 1008. Son of Robert and Constance. Married Anne
of Kiev and had sons Hugh and Philip. Something of a nonentity, he was rendered prematurely senile at the age of fifty-two and died after taking a potion and disobeying a doctor's orders not to mix it with water.

(7) Hugh Capet Magnus de Crepi, Duke of Burgundy, son of Henri and Anne. Married Adelaide
de Vermandois (born 1062) and had daughter Isabelle Elizabeth de Crepi.

(8) Isabelle Elizabeth de Crepi, daughter of Hugh and Adelaide. She married twice, as follows:
