THIS PAGE IS DEDICATED TO A DOG THAT WON THE HEARTS OF MANY,

MY CJ

<BGSOUND SRC="impos2.mid" LOOP="-1">

Every once in awhile, you come across a dog that can warm the hearts of anyone he meets. This was my CJ. Hi, my name is Cathy. I would like to tell you a little about this very special Dachshund.I have owned dogs all of my life, but never will there be another like CJ. CJ loved to be around people. He made a point of letting everyone know he was their friend. As a member of the dachshund circus a wonderful, warm family CJ was not only mine, but was shared by the other members. Every year the DC holds a bow-wow, where dachshunds and their owners can meet. CJ had to make the rounds saying hello to everyone who attended. He was always known as OUR CJ.

A dog I was so blessed to have. Until we meet again. You will always be in my heart and soul. A day does not go by that you are not thought of and missed.

CH. Cath-Mars Court. Jester

March 22, 1984 to Sept. 18, 1997

Having bred CJ, I did so for the show ring. Myself, I always wanted to see if I could show. Much to my surprise, CJ loved showing. Walking into the ring with so much pride, it was always a joy to show him. At six months, CJ was entered at his first show, where he took both his majors. He finished with four, after seven shows. His first time in as a Special, he took breed, and then onto a group fourth. We ended the year of 1985 with another group placement. CJ started 1986 out with a second in group. Before he was two, he was now the third top smooth in America, CCS. If, I had wanted I could have put CJ with a Handler, so he could have stayed on top, but showing him myself, meant more. In showing CJ, I was limited to the shows I could attend. It wasn't until he was older that I entered him at the Knickerbocker Specialty in New York. On our way down to the city CJ had gotten sick twice, and then again around an hour before going into the ring. I wasn't sure if he would show. He showed like he never showed before. He took his class, then ended up in the final cut. This meant more to me, than taking a ribbon anyday. The most memorable win was DCA, 1996. CJ had taken the Veterans class. This was an emotional win as it was his 12th birthday, and would be his last show.
