Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Page!

Welcome to my Christmas Page! Here it's another new year & seems like yesterday we were celebrating the year 2001. Christmas is my favorite hoilday & even though the children are grown, I'll always have many memories locked in my mind & heart.

The above picture is one I chose for the young & old, and in addition to this page, I created a site especially for the kids. Children's Christmas Site!

Please be patience while this page loads. Thanks, Dottie

To those who have children, during the holidays & through-out the year...remember...

Home should be a retreat to which a son or daughter can return in triumph or defeat, in victory or disgrace, and know they will be loved.

The CandyMaker's Witness!!

A Candymaker in Indiana wanted to make a candy that would be a witness, so he made the Christmas Candy Cane. He incorporated several symbols for the birth, ministry, and death of Jesus Christ.
He began with a stick of pure white, hard candy. White to symbolize the Virgin Birth and the sinless nature of Jesus, and hard to symbolize the Solid Rock, the foundation of the Church, and firmness of the promises of God.
The candymaker made the candy in the form of a "J" to represent the precious name of Jesus, who came to earth as our Saviour. If could also represent the staff of the "Good Shepherd" with which He reaches down into the ditches of the world to lift out the fallen lambs who, like all sheep, have gone astray.
Thinking that the candy was somewhat plain, the candymaker stained it with red stripes. He used three small stripes to show the stripes fo the scourging Jesus received by which we are healed. The larged stripe was for the blood shed by Christ on the cross so that we could have the promise of eternal life.
Unfortunately, the candy became known as a Candy Cane-a meaningless decoration seen at Christmas time. But the meaning is still there for those who "have eyes to see and ears to hear". I pray that this symbol will again be used to witness To The Wonder of Jesus and His Great Love that came down at Christmas and remains the ultimate and dominant force in the universe today.

Peace!!

You cannot have the peace of God until you know the God of Peace.

Gifts...At Christmas consider not so much the gift of a friend but the friendship of the giver.

Many people only attend church during the holidays...remember...

The world at its worst needs the church at its best.

There isn't enough darkness in all the world to put out a single candle.

The best to call people to church is a good example.

Let's reach out to a world in need with the WORD it needs.

A saint is like a window-he lets the light shine through.

If, like the shepherds, you have heard and seen, then, like the shepherds, go and tell.

Christmas began in the heart of God...

It is complete only when it reaches the heart of man.
