After we realized Ralph seemed a bit bored and lonely, we decided to get a kitten to liven him up. One of the girls I was driving to school had mentioned her cat just had kittens. The timing was great. My mom wanted a female, and we got the last one. We picked her up when she was exactly 6 weeks old. She was so cute and tiny, especially next to Ralph. Bringing her home was interesting, Ralph didn't know what to think of her, and she was not too thrilled with him. Within a few days she got used to him and wanted to play constantly. Ralph didn't want anything to do with her.
Before we had adopted her, her owner had mentioned something about one of the kittens being a jumper. Guess what, we ended up with the jumper. Sometimes it would be amusing watching her jump after dragonflies (6 feet in the air). One time she was sitting next to the wall with the light switch. A few of us were talking nearby and all of a sudden the lights went out. My brother could not get over the fact that she was the one who turned the lights of. She was weird that way. She was also very curious, too curious. We were living on a busy street, and after a little more than a year at the house she finally decided to cross the street. The first time she was gone for three days we thought the worst. But to our surprise she came home. So when she was gone again a week later we didn't think much. Unfortunately this time she didn't make it back across the street. She was found in the gutter in front of our next door neighbor's house. As much as we wanted to keep her inside from all the danger, she couldn't handle it. We did put both her and Ralph in the garage during the nights, but that day she didn't come home when we called her. Because of this I kept Frisbee and Peaches indoors all the time. Ralph is half indoor, half outdoor. He doesn't have the urge to explore like Cleo did.
