Thinking Frisbee was lonely while we were away, I wanted to get him a sister. On Oct. 24, 1998 I had adopted Peaches, a dilute calico kitten. She was 8 weeks old when I got her, and at the time I didn't know I was going to adopt a runt. I hadn't realized how small she was until I brought her home to Frisbee. He of course needed to sniff her to figure out what she was. She didn't quite like him at first, but she warmed up to him after a few days. In fact she began to believe she was bigger than he was, attacking him at any chance she could get. When adopting her I was told that she had been abandoned by her mother. She, her brother and two sisters were bottle fed from an early age. Because of this she is much smaller than other kittens her age. She was small that she didn't have real fur, she looked like a rat! Whenever she would "puff" up her fur, only about 3 in 20 strands would actually stand up. Her fur has since grown in so now she's a real fluff ball whenever she gets scared. The one thing that would be considered "odd" about her is her tail. She hasn't quite got the concept of what she should do with it just yet. Her tail wags constantly. Sometimes I think she's a dog! The tail wags when she's happy to see us, when she's hungry, playful, angry, whatever. |
