The History Of Triumverate

The band known as Triumverate has had a rich and colorful history. It’s conception happened when two young aspiring punks, namely Mark and Christian, came together to start working on a musical project. Mark had been a student of music for some time, starting as a pianist and then moving onward to the bass guitar. His natural charisma and loud mouth antics made him the perfect person to front the band as a rather vocal vocalist. Christian was a skilled guitarist who was looking for a place to vent his emotions and experiment on a musical level. The two had a great chemistry, playing off each others differences and creating some diverse music in the process. After sometime of preparation and writing, Mark and Christian sought out a third member to fill out their sound. In the Spring of 1999, they found their man in Norman. Norman had a strong background when it came to rhythm and he was skilled in the art known as grunge music. He fit in rather nicely as the man in the back on the drums. Norman added to the established chemistry of the band, and they began to perfect their style.

That style came from a vast number of influences that came from all genres of rock music. The band incorporated heavy metal, punk, grunge, classic, and alternative rock to come up with a very unique and original sound. After a period of constructing that sound, Triumverate took it to the stage, and began to perform in front of audiences. The Triumverate live experience has always been one that can only be appreciated by seeing it for oneself, but the mixture of musical anthems and comedy improve by Mark have always produced a complete rock show.

They have performed at locations such as the Showplace, Funhouse, and the Basement Bar. The greatest accomplishment by Triumverate to this date has been their debut album “Hello, Goodbye,” recorded in the Summer of 2000, and released in winter of the same year. The record is a tribute to what Triumverate are and what they can accomplish.
