ROCKINGHAM, WA
Rockingham is a small city located 47Km (30 miles) south of Perth on the Indian Ocean. It was founded in 1827 as a port but that soon was taken over by Fremantle. It now functions as a resort city with several small islands off its coast for visitors to enjoy. These are Penguin Island, which I have many photos of, Seal Island, and Garden Island which is where the Naval Base is located. The beaches here in Rockingham are beautiful as you will see. There was a small museum located there that I visited. It was very informative on the history of the area and had many displays of the early settlers and their lives in Rockingham.
