-----Mikey Welsh is the Newest member of Weezer, replacing Matt Sharp on bass. His hometown is Syracuse, NY (the school of hard knocks as he calls it). Mikey has tatoos all over his arms, he enjoys eating sushi, and drinking some cocktails with friends. He also likes movies, sleeping in late, cigarettes, girls, and shopping. Bands he listens to are The Cow, The Flaming Lips, Unsane, Slint, Chet Baker, and Drive Like Jehu. Prior to auditioning for Weezer, Mikey was a fan and his favorite released song is getchoo. When Mikey is playing, he likes black instruments and big amps.
-----Mikey has said that he loves to tour with a band. Bands that he’s played and/or toured with are Julianna Hatfield’s Band, Chevy Heston, Jocobono, Heretix, and most recently The Special Goodness.
