Rivers Cuomo

-----Rivers is basically the leader in weezer, playing guitar, singing lead vocals, and writing the majority of the music. his hometown is yogaville, connecticut, but he lived in several different connecticut farm towns.
-----If you look on the cover of the blue album, you might notice that his left leg is bent somewhat....that's because when he was born, his right leg was shorter than his left leg. He's had surgery done on it, so that his right leg will be stretched out and be more even with his left leg.
-----Rivers grew up in various farm towns in connecticut. At 18, he moved to LA to become a rockstar. Then he "realized" he was an idiot, and gave up. At the same time, he and his girlfriend broke up, so he was depressed, and started writing songs to feel better. It soon became a habit of his to write songs. In the beginning, he says most of the songs sucked. Rivers also says that because he has a hard time of talking about himself and how he feels (and because probably no one cares), he now relies on music more and more to express himself. Rivers sees the first album as kind of a journal that describes how he felt during that time of his life. Rivers is majoring at Harvard University, and doesn’t really plan to do a thing with his degree.
