Buckcherry
Buckcherry
1999
(DreamWorks Records)
Formed in Los Angeles in 1995, Buckcherry comes out with their first album produced by the well known Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols and Terry Date (Pantera, Soundgarden, White Zombie). What a great album! For every punk-rock fan it’s a must buy. I heard them for the first time on MTV and I was immediately a fan. That band has the groove, the attitude and the sound. I wasn’t disapointed with the album either. Just to give you an idea, I was suppose to make a review on Red Hot Chili Peppers last album for this month, but Buckcherry made me change my mind. Not cause I’m not a Red Hot fan, far from it, but cause the Buckcherry style was refreshning to hear and to talk about. For everybody who liked the song Lit Up on MTV or radio and worry about the quality of the other songs on the album, don’t worry anymore cause the whole album rocks!

Alana Davis
Blame it On Me
(1997, Electra Entertainment Group)
Alana, being a virtually unknown artist. Has successfully blown me away with her powerful vocals and lyrics. Her voice having a soulful sound to it allows Alana to bring across the point to her lyrics quite vividly. The a album reflects feelings of independence, the right to be who you are, be proud of where you came from, and go where you want to go in life. Her songs while all having a soulful strong sound to them are quite unique from each other. Which would allow the listener to be pleasantly surprised by each and every song. Blame it on me is a good album to consider buying. (I'm Proud to say I have it in my collection).

Lit up
(lyrics/Buckcherry)
Oh yeah. You wanna find it, c'mon yeah.
I'm on a plane with cocaine,
And yes I'm all lit up again
Cough up love and touch up
Your mama said packing lines is sin.
And yes I'm all lit up again,
On the couch in my bed
And yes I'm all lit up again, flyin'
I love the cocaine, I love the cocaine
Mama can you wait, mama can you wait.
I love the cocaine, I love the cocaine
Mama can you wait, oh can you wait long?
I'm on a train and ride on,
You know the train is staying off the track
I'm in touch love, from this crutch
Well you're on ten but buddy I'm on eleven
And yes I'm all lit up again,
On the couch in my bed
And yes I'm all lit up again, flyin'
I love the cocaine, I love the cocaine
Mama can you wait, mama can you wait.
I love the cocaine, I love the cocaine
Mama can you wait, oh can you wait long?
Crack the door for the curious girl 'cause she's waiting
She's been waiting.
Chop a line for the fiending man cause he wants one.
You know you know you got to, can you feel it can you feel it
tonight, are you high love, tell me are you fucking high.
In the moment you are just so right, you're right love, oh you're right love.
Oh yeah. Don't wanna fight it. Alright. Yeah. Ah yeah.
