1000 More Fools: A song that criticizes conformity in people and wakes us up to the reality that "1000 more fools are being born every fucking day."
What can you do?What Can You Do? This song is showing us how the leaders of our world are just as helpless and powerless as us when it comes to helping the human race. It also shows how many have decided to just go with the flow of things, since they feel they have no control. It also mentions how we are all someone else's fool at some time or another which is very true. Its a short song with a lot of meaning. (David Avedisian)
Suffer:"a song about man's conquest for superiority, and its repercussions on society as a whole. 'The business man whose master plan controls the world each day Is blind to indications of his species slow decay.' (Bill Thompson)
Do What You Want: This is a portrait of someone who has given up. He knows there's something wrong, but either doesn't know how or doesn't want to do anything about it. So he just regresses into hatred and apathy. (Raphael Baker)
Part II (the Numbers
Game): This is the first one of the Part
trilogy. It talks about the espionage, imperialism and mentality prior
to a world conquest crusade by a first world country.
I believe it is also about the
world wars. Part two deals with world war II and the imperialism and all that
dealt with that.(John Grubb (MrBean995@aol.com))
"so pack your bags
you third world nation, victory through domination!"
A scary thought
made into a powerful song. The name of the song is probably referring to
the fact that conquest is indeed a numbers game.
Part IV:
The sequel to Part II and III, where the human race lies extinct, fossilized
under a pile of destruction.
Part III dealt with world war III and the bombs sent. Part
IV is about what you said, when humans kill themselves and starts over from
scratch. (John Grubb (MrBean995@aol.com))
"We'll be an index
fossil buried in our own debris"
An index fossil
is a short lived species that when found can be used to know the age of
the earth layer it was found in. Greg's interests in evolutionary biology
can be noted in this song.
You Are (the Government):
A song about governments, criticizing democracy. It compares the president
to a puppet and calls him a loser (does it?).
"There's a loser
in the house (the white house?) and a puppet on a stool"
