A lot of people have been hurt and being hurt in cyber due to a simple reason that they don't really understand what cyber is all about. Do they know that cyber is full of fantasy and fun? We must approach cyber in pure maturity. The problem starts when fantasy turns reality and things getting out of hand. They fail to see that the feelings in cyber is the same as the feelings in realtime. So the crux of the matter here is how to handle these feelings. The way I approach cyber is simple:

Cyber is pure fantasy and fun Cyber is for making friends Cyber is to help people in things that we know Cyber is not to hurt people or getting hurt Cyber is to be treated separately from realtime Cyber is too wide to control Cyber is maturity in action Cyber is to get to know people better from all over the world Cyber is to get as much information as we can Time and again, I try to explain to people about what I called cyber realities.

In cyber, the realities are; there is no control because it's too wide - the anonymity. People can be different persons in different places at one particular time. In cyber, there are no hard and fast rules. People can come into chat under different names, gender and personalities. Not to forget different browsers too. They come here for fun and this space popularly known as cyber world is for real fantasy. We can do things in here that can never be done in the real world.

However, one should follow the the golden rule that is, people shouldn't come to cyber to hurt or to be hurt.

In terms of quantum of time, there is no difference between cybertime (CT) and realtime(RT) but the difference lies in it's dimension, that is, fantasy time versus real time. So this thing can be a great time waster if we don't manage it properly.

To me, realtime matters must be given more attention and priority as compare to cybertime matters. Don't complicate matters by mixing the two together. If you are happy in realtime make sure you don't spoil it. People come to chat with different feelings and intentions. They want fun, love and attention that is missing in realtime and they are here to fill those gaps and emptiness in life. So if you can handle these, you are most welcome but if you can't, you might as well stay away from chats. Everyone knows that funny things happen in cyber. People quarrel, people quibble, people love, people hurt and getting hurt,people fight and people marry too.

I believe that in order not to get hurt just be yourself and get to know people first before extending the relationship. As far as possible avoid giving your realtime phone number unless you are very,very sure of the person on the screen. If you are not sure then be in cyber 100 % all the time.
