Known best for its fishing, Dauphin River is home to many Master Angler Awards from Walleye to Northern Pike. Guiding is available for those who are feeling adventurous. The most popular fishing sports include the Warpath and Mantago Rivers where many trophy-sized Northern Pike and Walleye await you. If hunting is what interests you, there are a variety of local outfitters that have different packages that may include transportation, guide services, meals and accommodations. They may also supply boats, motors, camping equipment and other supplies. Whether you are interested in hunting waterfowl and game bird, or big game species such as bear, moose, or deer, these outfitters can provide you with a unique experience that will leave you with lasting memories. Hunting trips can be arranged on a daily, overnight or longer basis and can be tailored to suit individual preferences. Anama Bay Tourist Camp For those who just want to escape the pressures and stresses of city life, Dauphin River First Nation offers peaceful, relaxing get-aways whether for a week-end or an extended stay. Anama Bay Tourist Camp offers year-round cabin rentals complete with kitchen facilities. As well, Sturgeon Bay Tourist Camp offers camping facilities within walking distance of the Dauphin River. Boat rentals as well as guide services are available. This picturesque community has much to offer outdoor enthusiasts including hiking, canoeing and cross country skiing. For summer months, there is a nearby beach (accessible by boat) and local campgrounds. Evenings are bound to bring warm campfires, complete with tea, bannock and great story-telling. Located 40 minutes from Gypsumville on Provincial Road 513, Dauphin River First Nation is accessible by car, as well there is a gravel airstrip in the Dauphin River Community. Dock facilities are available for float planes and boats.
