Located just 20 minutes off of No. 6 Highway on Common Market Road, Little Saskatchewan First Nation is the destination of choice for true wilderness seekers and outdoor adventurers. Located on the shores of Lake St. Martin, Little Saskatchewan serves as the starting base for Many wondrous wilderness adventures down the pristine waterways of the Interlake.


Canoe trips for individuals or groups can be conducted down Lake St. Martin, and further down through Lake St. Martin First Nation and eventually up the Dauphin River to the mouth of Lake Winnipeg. This picturesque journey through the Interlake will provide the traveller with a sense of the life and travels of First Nations peoples before the arrival of European settles. Wildflowers, tall grasses, marshes and forests are yours to discover. Local wildlife including moose, bear, deer, geese, ducks, partridge and others provide hunters with a chance to experience traditional Indigenous Livelihoods up close.


In the winter, local cross country, snowshoe and snowmobile trails offer breathtaking views of the winter landscape along the lake and through the wilderness. Trips can be arranged on an hourly, daily or extended basis. As well, ice skating, hockey and other sport activities are organized through the Little Saskatchewan Arena. Key festivals and community events include the Anual Little Saskatchewan Winterfest which features an array of games, winter sports and contests for the young and old alike. Summer months feature baseball tournaments as well as the Annual Treaty Days which take place in May.
