| The delicious Smashing Pumpkins are far and away my favourite band. They are a drum and bass band that really know how to rock. Their music is all about happiness and sadness, the dark and the light. I like the way they have a variety to their music which is lacking in most of today's popular artists. | The much talked about by clearly misunderstood Marilyn Manson. A band that is about Social change and conventional reform, who get their message over by shock techniques. The most annoying thing about the hype is that because the band is so controversial, people tend to pre-judge or not take seriously the music of the band; which is high-octain, fast, fun riffs. | <The excellent Foo Fighters were formed after the tragic suicide of Kurt Cobain. Dave Grohl, who had previously been the drummer in that band went on to front the Foo fighters, who have gone on from strength to strength. | The band Blur is the mastermind of lead singer, Damon Albarn. This london band, who are trademarked for their drum and bass riffs and bizarre videos, have just gotten better with age. They came into prominence in the '90s with their media-escalated 'fight' with Mancunian rockers 'Oasis'. Check out the video for 'Coffee and TV' off their most recent album, '13'. |

| From their first eponymous album 'Suede' to their more recent 'Headmusic', this outrageously camp English group have both shocked and delighted. Their lead-singer, Brett Anderson, has even described himself as 'a bi-sexual who has never slept with a man'. I really like this band as their music suits all occasions - from the wrist-slitting 'see you in the next life' to the free-spirited 'wild ones' or the simple octane fun of 'Animal nitrate'. Suede rock!!! |
