"The greatest wonder is man. For man is nothing less than a microcosm, a miniature world, composed of all the elements found in entirety of creation."

GETTING THERE

Date: 30th October 1997
Time: 23:00 hours

Well, I made a yummy (if I may say so myself) spaghetti bolognaise (without cheese) and 2.5 hours later than expected my hubby comes home (9pm) Luckily, I had the sense to realise that he was going to be late and I turned the food down so it wouldn't burn. 20:50pm he called me to let me know he was late - like I didn't realise or something! I munched on raw pasta (my favourite snack), which took the edge off whilst I was waiting for him. When he got home, we both ravenously woolfed down the food and collapsed on the couch, stuffed. This is not the way I like to enjoy my meals..but because this is the exception to the rule..it's not that bad.

Tomorrow night I will be eating alone again :( whilst hubby is at uni. I will probably eat todays leftovers tomorrow..as I always make too much food. I always over cater, not sure why, but my mother used to do the same. When both my brothers and my sister left home, my mother still catered as if there were 6 people, so I guess I just learnt from her. When hubby cooks, he makes exactly the right amount.

This page is turning out to be about hubby (who is hovering around me). I found some tapes in a bag at my parents house, filled with all my old tapes. Eagles, Prince (artist formaly known as Prince), Metallica (Ride The Lightening and Master Of Puppets - which I'd thought I'd lost), Queen, Various artists, romantic songs, my spanish tapes etc..etc... A huge selection of all my music. So I decided to send hubby shopping, whilst I did this entry. I put on my Spanish music tape which a friend from highschool gave me (she was a Chilean folk dancer, small and pretty, straight brown hair and brown eyes - who always had boyfriend trouble and came to me for advice). Listening to this tape which had some old favourites like 'Besame Mucho' (one of my grandfather's r.i.p. favourites) and 'El Cumbanchero', my hubby comes in and starts moaning and groaning about the music. Quick background - I introduced hubby into various different music styles, one of course being Spanish/Latin American music (ie. Salsa, Armik, Gypsy Kings etc), but still my hubby continues to be very restricted in his music preferences. Anyway, so now he is jumping up and down around me, asking me if I can change the tape to something else. *Sigh*.

Part of a tape I am listening too has Casey Cassen (American Top 40) talking about Hong Kong being under British rule....I think this I will keep as memorabilia...

Got a phonecall at 07:30am from my dad. He's such a sweety. He wanted me to drive out to Knox City Brash's who were giving away 40 t.v. sets for only $99 (first in first serve etc). I asked him why he wanted another t.v. (he already has 3). He said a friend asked him whether he could do it, because this friend couldn't get off work. I said to my dad that I wouldn't mind doing it but by the time I got there they would all be gone...

Just to let you all know, that the rose tree which my hubby told me that I had killed, has produced a beautiful rose, the colour of papaya flesh..Very pretty..I dedicate this rose to my friend who had his birthday on the 28th of October...

Until next time...

Soosh

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO YOU ALL!
