VOICES OF HUMBLESTONE CHORALE ~ Every Monday Evening

Created in the autumn of the year 2000, the chorus was born of the desire to make music in a relaxed atmosphere.   Every Monday evening, people of all ages, backgrounds and musical levels get together for the sole aim of sharing the pleasure of singing.   We propose a varied repertoire including excerpts of great classical works, Negro spirituals, Russian liturgical music, jazz standards and holiday favorites, adapted for all ages and levels.

VPSTART 2001 SEASON !
Shakespeare will start the 2001 season for Vpstart Crow Productions at the Cramer Center in Manassas.   "The Tempest" April 6-7.
Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m., Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
"Much Ado about Nothing" will open May 8.
Tennessee Williams' "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" will be performed beginning September 14.
The holiday season will kick off with the ever-popular "A Civil War Christmas" on November 23, followed by "A Christmas Carol" on December 6.
Season tickets are now available at the box office at (703) 365-0240; ProTix at (800) 955-5566; or "www.tickets.com".   Adult season subscriptions range from $70-$120 depending on performance day chosen, while those for students and seniors are substantially less.
The "Flexx Pass" provides season savings for those who cannot decide on a performance day.   However, performances must be chosen no later than 72 hours beforehand.
Champagne Saturdays will open each run with a reception and Epilogue Sunday discussions will close each run.
Tickets for individual performances purchased in advance are $3 less than those at the door...$18 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.

We offer dance training for 3 year olds to adults.   We specialize in classical ballet (Russian method), acrobatics, tap, Broadway jazz, creative movement, fencing (for students from age 11) and stage combat.     You and/or your children will receive professional instruction to take you to any level you desire, be it a professional dance career or just a regular fun way to exercise.

The American Children of SCORE

A children's musical group for ages 8-12 under the direction of John Krumich.   Based in The Plains, SCORE stands for string, chorus, Orff, recorder ensemble.   The group puts on several concerts each season.   Membership is drawn from Fauquier, Loudoun and Prince William counties through open auditions at the beginning of each year.

Each year Bluemont presents more than 300 events in 50 communities, including Fauquier.   The Summer Concert Series, each Saturday in Old Town Warrenton, and the monthly Oldtime Country Dance series in the fall, winter and spring, bring outstanding performers to the area.   Event admissions range from a requested donation of $3.00 to $5.00.

The local chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Singing meets every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Warrenton.   They give two major concerts each year, numerous performances at community events and compete regionally.



Community Concert Association

This all volunteer organization offers its members discount prices on family entertainment.   Concert season usually includes five varied performances in music and dance by nationally known artists at Culpeper County High School.   Membership includes free admission to concerts in Fairfax and Manassas.   Season memberships are $30.00 for adults and $10.00 for all students within a family.

This organization, headquartered in the RR Arts Building, the newly restored Depot in The Plains, sponsors a variety of cultural events including workshops and performances at the J. Page Turner Community House in The Plains.


Culpeper-Piedmont Chorale Society, Inc.

This select singing group draws members from Fauquier, Culpeper, Rappahannock and beyond.   They rehearse in Culpeper and give at least two free concerts annually, one at Christmas and one in the spring.

For over 20 years this lively organization mounts at least four major productions each season, plus a youth show each summer and other smaller feats.   The theatre stages productions in the renovated theatre at Vint Hill Farms Station, an interim phase for the growing group, which is working to secure larger, better equipped facilities in Old Town Warrenton.   New members are welcomed with applause.

This non-profit organization brings professional dance companies to Fauquier at least twice each year to perform.   They sponsor visiting arts programs in county schools on a regular basis.   Moving Arts' most popular event is "The Nutcracker", presented each December at Fauquier High School, with a selection of local dancers in supporting roles.
