CONGRATULATIONS   ARE   IN   ORDER !!

Governor Gilmoure recently appointed Tareq Salahi (owner of Oasis Winery) to his special board for the Virginia Wine Industry..."The Governor's Virginia Wine Growers Advisory Board."   Salahi has accepted this position and was sworn in by oath in Front Royal on Tuesday, September 26, to uphold the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia.   His term will expire on June 30, 2003.   Salahi is very excited to serve on the Governor's board and looks forward to serving the Commonwealth, while preserving the strengths of the industry and, at the same time, understanding the future of the ever-growing wine industry and winery tourism.
