Wolf Creek

August 1997

Meeting my Uncle Ray at Wolf Creek for some guided Missouri River fishing was the high point of the whole trip. I've never seen fish like these! I didn't catch as many as the guys did, and I didn't get many pictures of my own fish. ('Cause I was the one with the camera!) But I did get a picture of Mike, our first guide (thank you, Paul Roos Outfitters), holding my first Missouri River rainbow trout (left). The brown trout (above right) was one of David's better catches.

After a hard day of fishing, we invited Uncle Ray "home" for dinner. David even cooks an excellent meal outdoors! So here we are, sunburned but happy after a day on the river and a huge steak dinner.

Montana has the most spectacular skies I've ever seen! The shots below were taken from our camp at Holter Dam, near Wolf Creek.
