I was hoping to evoke Homer Simpson’s notorious paean to deep fried circular bits of dough with the title, but if it comes off as the usual fangirl drooling, well, that’s applicable too. EPISODE TEN

What I wouldn’t give to roll over and see this in the morning.

Accused of treason, recovering from a grievous wound -- Allen will use any old excuse to grab hold of two women.

Hitomi shows Allen a card from the ‘special’ deck she got in Palas’ red light district.

Allen imparts his first advice to his son. How could he not listen to a man that pretty?

EPISODE ELEVEN

Van and Allen would like to complain to management about their accommodations.

Still holding Chid hostage. Er, holding Chid. Where’d Merle’s nail file go?

Allen holds Chid for the first time. He’s kind of choking him and holding a pointy object to his face but all ‘firsts’ can’t be Hallmark moments.

Allen beams down proudly at his boy while Milly looks like she’s thinking of doing something naughty with his robe. Can’t blame her, really.
