Flurries can't stop Flutie

Doug Flutie played eight seasons in the CFL, compiling a resume many feel is the most impressive of any quarterback in league history.
One of his more memorable performances came in the
1996 Grey Cup game, which was played on the frozen carpet of Hamilton's Ivor Wynne Stadium. The blizzard conditions didn't hamper either offense, as Flutie's Toronto Argonauts and the Edmonton Eskimos combined for 80 points and 911 yards.
The Eskimos had their moments: Henry "Gizmo" Williams returned a kickoff for a touchdown, and wide receiver Eddie Brown made a TD catch that has to be seen to be believed.
But in the end, Flutie's passing and running — and a controversial non-fumble call late in the game — helped the Argos to a 43-37 victory in a contest shown live on ESPN2.
