Inspiration: These week's theme suggestion, just in time for Halloween, came from Dan. His idea was, "What scares you? Heights? Dogs? Spiders? Clowns? Go out and take a picture of something you think is scary and post it to the Theme Thursday page."


Idiot Drivers Scare Me

This truck not ony failed to stop for the stop sign, it didn't even signal it was making a turn.

Have you ever noticed how many terrible drivers there are? I'm talking about the drivers that can not even remember the basic rules of the road that they had to know in order to pass a road test.

How many times have you had someone tailgate you while you were at or above the speed limit? How about the person that backs up out of a parking space without looking to see if anyone is coming? How about the idiots that don't use their turn signals until after they are well into their turn? Or the idiots that that think a 4-way stop mean stop and go, and not stop, wait your turn, then go. How about the ones that know the left hand lane is ending and try to push you into oncoming traffic because they couldn't back off and get behind you? Or the idiots that don't turn on their headlights when it's raining so their vehicle can be seen through the rain? How about the drivers that pull out from side streets right in front of you when there's nothing behind you for miles? Or even worse, the idiots that don't even stop for stop signs?

Have you ever noticed that most of these bad drivers are in SUV's, trucks, or vans? Do they think they own the road because they have a big vehicle? It has been said that people buy larger vehicles to compensate for something. I believe it. They are compensating for their lack of intelligence and common sense.

This past week, we've had several accidents locally. Here are the ones that have been on the local network news:

1 . Wayne County teen killed in car accident
2 . Tractor-trailer accident closes 490-exit ramp
3. Still no cause of tanker crash
4 . Superintendent charged with death of elderly woman
5. Elderly man struck and killed


Could any of these accidents have been prevented if there were more drivers with common sense and intelligence?
