On Flag Day 1999 my local newspaper ran an article on the proper way to display a flag. By looking through my neighborhood, no one really knows the rules. I descided to put them here |

Fold the lower striped section of the flag over the blue field. Then fold the folded edge over to meet the open end.
A triangular fold is started by bringing the stripped corner of the folded edge to the open edge. The outer point is then turned inward parallel with the open edge. This triangular folding continues the length of the flag; when completed only the blue field is visible |
