Hey guys!  Well, welcome to my journal.  Sorry.  But there won't be anything really private written on this site (unless you're lucky and I slip).  This site is just for me to keep you guys updated on any changes that I've made on my site.  Occasionally I'll talk about what's going on with me, but hopefully not too much.  So yeah.  Just check on me from time-to-time to see what's going on with my site, okay?  I appreciate it.  And for those of you long-time readers, you'll notice that my entries won't be as "amusing" as when I was putting my personal life into this.  =)  Too bad.  =D  Bon apetite!

Cool!  I love starting new journal pages!  Hehe.  Okay. Now where'd I leave off?  Well obviously this page is a new update also.  Hehe.

The other ones were the links I was going to list.  First I added, Cindy's web site
Welcome to my Table of Contents.  Her old site was on Ken's First Table of Contents if you want to go check out that site.  Also, I added Luart's new site lftobias's Xanga Site.  If you recall, Luart's the one who helped me start my web site.  For the conversation go to ... oh ... haha.  I was trying to look for the site and I realized that even though I just recently reopened Ken's Official Homepage, I didn't put the link in my table of contents.  Let me go do that really quick.  Hehe.  BRB.

Oh.  Hehe.  Can't do that without closing this.  Haha.  Okay.  BRB.

Okay.  Cool.  Ken's Offical Homepage is officially re-opened now!  Tite!  Okay.  So where was I?  Oh yeah.  For the conversation that began all this you see here go to Ken's Second Webpage (not to be confused with Ken's 2nd Web Site).  Okay.  Onward.  The next link I added was Patrick Jamp's site ... gosh dang it.  Forgot to put the year of the reopening of my sites.  Argh.  I'll remember to do it after this update.  Okay.  So Pat's site is Ikusat's Homepage.  Pat lived on my floor during my first year at UCLA.  Haven't really seen him around lately, but I see him online a lot.

Okay.  And the last site I added was
Click2Asia Clubs - Club Album.  I don't know why I had a reminder to myself to add this, but you know me.  My memory is horrible, so I can't question the little notes I leave for myself.  If I leave a note to myself, I do whatever it says even if it doesn't make sense.  For those of you who have seen the movie "Memento", you'll know what it's like to be me (of course his situation was far worse).  Very good movie by the way.  I recommend everyone see it.  Great cinematography.  But I digress.  I think the reason why I wanted to add the site was because I became a member of that club (in particular to a Jaymee Ong club during my obsession with her).  That's the best reason I can think of.

Okay.  I think that's all the updates I've made so far.  Hopefully if I have free-time up north, I'll update my little sisters' site (maybe get their input on the site), the China site, and the Hedrick Island site.  If not, oh well.  I'll do it eventually.  Afterall, this is my favorite hobby (next to sleeping ... and girls ... hehe).  San Jose here I come!

Wow.  I haven't updtated this journal in over 3 months?  Wow.  Actually I shouldn't be surprised because I've held out for longer.  :-)  So anyways, hm.  I've done a lot with this site since I last updated.  Dang.  This is gonna take a while.

Okay.  Guess I should go in order of the stuff listed in my table of contents, just to be sure I dont' miss anything.  The first thing I want to change (but haven't done so yet) is the link to
KEN'S OFFICIAL HOMEPAGE.  At last update, I told you I reopened it.  Ironic thing is that around the end of September (the 29th, I think), Homestead decided to cancel ... er ... well, I mean basically they wanted to start charging people for their services.  So unless I upgraded from their free plan to their new plan (that does charge), my web page would no longer exist.  Funny thing is they never actually did it.  And I think I recently received an e-mail saying that I could keep my page, but I would be very limited as to what I could do.  That's fine by me though because I don't do much on that page anyways.  I just use it as my homepage.  But ... well ... I didn't know that the site was not going to be deleted, so I went ahead and bought my own domain name.  So yeah.  I have a domain name now.  www.ken1203.com.  But er ... I'm trying to make it link to another page, either www.ken1203.homestead.com or www.bol.ucla.edu/~kenchan.  Not sure which one I'm going to link it to yet.  Probably the Homestead one because it's all set up already.  But I'l keep you posted.

Um.  I added my
Ken's Fall 2001 Class Schedule to my site.  UCLA made it a little prettier ... er ... I mean colorful than last year :-).  Now that I'm starting to create a new web site at www.bol.ucla.edu, I won't have to waste my space at Geocities to post up my schedules.  So if all goes well, this will be the last one that is made through Geocities.  We'll see .... [yawns]  Wow.  How are you guys reading this?  Typing this is putting me to sleep.  [yawns]  But then again, it could be because I've been so sleep deprived for the past few weeks.  So glad to be home and be able to rest up and stuff.  My dang CS professor assigned homework that's due the day we get back though.  Dang her.  But I digress.

Whoops. Got disconnected.  Whew.  Scared me there for a sec. Better save this sucker just in case.  BRB.

Okay.  We're cool.  So where was I?  Oh. I was digressing.  Hehe.  Okay.  Back on track now.  Oh!  This is something I'm going to do.  Dang.  I should read over my past entries every now-and-then and read about all the site I was planning to make but never got around to doing it.  One idea is to change
The Personal Page of:  Kenneth Chan to Ken's Kwotes (or something like that).  I've been compiling some of my own personal quotes since last year on my computer.  If I recall, I think it was Ross's idea because ... er ... actually I don't really remember if it was Ross's idea.  Maybe I shouldn't make up a story then.  I really don't remember.  Hehe.  But yeah.  I'm going to change that one site to the Ken's Kwotes thing.  The other idea was kinda lame.  I shouldn't ahve gone through with it.  But then again, I guess bad ideas come sometimes.  :-)   So yeah.  When I get the chance, I will change that.  Another site I have an idea for was inspired by Joel.  I haven't begun working on it yet, so I won't say anything about it yet.  :-)  You'll just have to wait like everyone else.  :-D

Hm.  Actually I just looked over
The Personal Page of:  Kenneth Chan, and I think it's kinda cool.  I just remembered that the reason why I made it was because it was supposed to serve as a "About the Author" kind of page.  Not really for entertainment like my other pages.  Hm.  Maybe I will keep it.  Uh.  I'll think about it later.

Ah!  A new member to
Ken's Desktop Queens Gallery - Sung Hi Lee!  Woo-hoo!  Actually I had a little infatuation with her already, but it was before the opening of my gallery.  She was just made a member when I found an awesome picture of her on my computer that just totally took my breath away.  So yeah.  She's on now!  Wonder if the same thing will happen to Lee Hyori.  Or maybe I'll never return to her?  I dunno.  We'll see.

Oh!  Now on to my current work in progress -
[CUL].  Cul, huh?  Well, basically the page is one that lists the members of the [CUL] clan.  What is the [CUL] clan exactly?  Well, Genesan's trademark word became the name for the team of people in our group who play Counterstrike.  Yeah.  CS.  Um.  I'm just going to assume all you readers know what Counterstrike is.  I'm not going to take the time of going over it.  Basically all you need to know is that it's a computer game that's played online.  And yeah. This page has a list of those who play and represent the [CUL] clan.  Dang.  All this talk about Counterstrike is making me want to play.  Er.  Maybe I will.  :-)  But then again, my brother's ghetto internet connection keeps disconnecting on me.  Hm.  I guess it's for the better though.  If the connection is lost in the middle of the game, I'll take it as a sign to go work on homework or sleep or something.  :-)  But yet.  Go check out the page.  Maybe you've seen one of us online?  ;-)

New links!
http://www.gksan.net, Tim's Website, and Rochestor Royalty.  Go to Ken's 2nd Table of Contents for a short discription on each site or just go to them directly and find out for yourself.

That reminds me.  Why haven't I added my bro's web site to my table of contents?  Let me do that right after this update.  It's still named
index.  Haha.  Oh well.  He'll get the hang of Geocities eventually.  He's got an early jump.  :-)

Hm.  Looks like that's about it.  Okay bounce now.  Gettin' tired.  Maybe I'll sleep early again tonight.  Gotta catch up.  Hm.  Or maybe I'll work on that assignment?  Er ... I'll wait for tomorrow.  I'm tired.  Good night.  And I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  Gobble gobble.  :-D

Don't know how I forgot, but even so, I have to add this in:
A small dedication to all those lives that were tragically lost that infamous day, September 11, 2001.

On September 11, 2001, our nation witnessed human destruction at its worst.  It was almost like something out of a movie.  Two airplanes crashing into the World Trade Center in New York.  The planes disintegrated instantly on impact.  And eventually the two towers collapsed, killing many and leaving behind rubble, ashes, smoke, blood, and tears.  The death toll came about to about 5,000 ...  a totally unneccessary loss of lives.  The people behind it are seriously heartless and cruel people.  There is NEVER any reason to take away the lives of innocent people.  There are people in other countries that hate the United States.  They call the citizens of the United States people are superficial, evil, greedy, power-hungry, and uncaring.  They cheered when two airplanes carrying innocent people crashed into buildings containing thousand of innocent lives.  This is totally unacceptable.  What kind of world do we live in where people cheer about mass destruction and massacre?  Now, it's true that we in the United States are not perfect.  No one is.  We are all sinners, but NO ONE deserves to have their lives painfully taken away from them.  It was seriously a horrible event that will always live in infamy.  May all of our prayers be with those who lost their lives, those who have lost loved ones in the horrible event, and those who's lives will never be the same because of that event.  I hope those responsible will be brought to justice ... on earth and after death.  So long as this web site is up, the candle to the left will forever be up to honor those who died.  May God have mercy on their souls.

Just came to fix the picture at the top of the page. Accidentally still had it linked to the feature picture of the last journal page.  But since I'm here, I might as well complain and whine about not having taken pictures on my birthday this year.  Dang.  It was the best birthday I ever had in my life.  I seriously did not know so many people really cared.  It was just really cool.  The food was great.  The company was great.  The whole night was great.  My butt was sore for a few days, but it was still cool.  Dang.  I love those guys!  :-D  I wrote down who attended, but I left my stenopad back in LA. But when I return to LA, I'll be sure to feature those people on this page.  :-)  Least I could do.  Dang.  And go figure.  The only surprise birthday thing that I had no part in organizing turned out to be the most successful.  I had no idea what was planned.  Or maybe I'm just naive.  :-)  Hehe.  Okay.  Better go before my brother's ghetto connection fails again (disconnects every 25 minutes ... sux).  Oh well.  I'll be back!  Hehe.  Merry Christmas to all!
Sunday, December 23, 2001.  6:35 PM.
Yep.  Joel was right.  There were 21 people present to wish me a happy 21st birthday.  Pretty cool, huh?  And as promised.  And special thank-you to those individuals who made December 3, 2001, the all-time greatest birthday.  :-)  ... Uh ... whoops.  Actually there were 23.  Accidentally left out two people.  Oh well.  The more the merrier!  :-)
