SOME GOOD NEWS..........

Karen Doyle Henn has sent some photographs from their trek to Australia to share. Check out Karen's Australian trip photos. (9-29-02)

World travelers off on an adventure of a lifetime -- This from Karen Doyle Henn: "My husband and I are getting ready to leave Feb 4th for a 9 week adventure to Australia and New Zealand. Can hardly wait. Wish us well. It will be a lifetime dream coming to reality."  Sure hope Karen doesn't try to pick a kangaroo's pocket!

Linda McIntyre Scott has finished her chemo and treatments and so far her doctor feels that she is doing very well since he can find no signs of big lumps or bumps, so that news is very promising. She asked that I pass on this message, "Thank you all SO much for your prayers, emails, and support!!! I'm smiling :0)   (2-3-02)

Pat McClelland Grant, and her husband are each doing well after a tough year last year.  Surgeries, broken bones, and an assortment of yukky things are now in the past and Pat says she is so grateful for the support of old classmates and other friends during their time of distress.  (1-13-02)

John White's sister Pat (Class of '58) (patriciawatson@nyc.rr.com) is happy to report that even though John suffered an aneurism on December 18 that should have killed him outright, he drove himself to Memorial Hospital, and was transferred within hours to Fort Wayne’s Parkview where he underwent brain surgery on 12/19. Dismissed a few days ago after having been deeply sedated for almost three weeks, he now seems completely recovered except for occasional headaches.
John had given up smoking just three days before his medical emergency, so upon regaining full consciousness, found that many of the urges of a recovered smoker were behind him! He continues to suffer from the dire effects of emphysema which keep him from any real physical activity including his beloved game of golf. He would be most grateful to hear from you at his new address:
