Summary: Professor Kerwin Korman has taken his money and used it to construct a high-tech battlesuit so that he can begin his career as a super-powered criminal. Seeking to win AIM's favor, Korman, calling himself the Destructor, provides them with footage on Ms. Marvel. Through Korman's insight, we learn that Ms. Marvel's costume contains advanced technology which enables her to fly! The AIM leaders are angered that technology beyond theirs exist and determine to have it for themselves! They assign the Destructor to capture her. It is also reveled that AIM has rescued the Scorpion and are facilitating his recovery.
Across town, Mary Jane pops into Carol's office for a visit. The two ladies head to dinner and Carol tells MJ about her time as chief of security at Cape Canaveral and her history with Captain Marvel. She explains that her failure to capture Mar-Vell led to her leaving the security field. As Carol relates how she broke into journalism after stint with NASA, she is overwhlemed by another seventh sense premonition. Excusing herself, Carol blacks out in a taxi. She awakens hours later in her apartment, completely unaware of how she got there!
In Florida, the Destructor investigates the site of Captain Marvel's final battle. In New York, The Scorpion escapes from AIM's headquartes and swears revenge against Ms. Marvel.
Meanwhile, Carol pays a visit to Dr. Michael Barnett, a psychiatrist friend of hers. She explains to him her recent blackouts and periods of amnesia. Under hypnosis, she tells him about Captain Marvel's final battle with Colonel Yon Rogg. She explains how they were bombarded with radiation from the Kree Psyche Magnetron and blacked out for the first time. She mentions how she had to start a new career as a writer after her security career fell apart due to her failure to capture Mar-Vell. She then recalls the blackout that first resulted in her transformation into Ms. Marvel! Dr. Barnett believes that she's delusional until she blacks out again and transforms right before his eyes into the female fury, Ms. Marvel!
Ms. Marvel's seventh sense premonition leads her to the Scorpion who is on a maddened rampage! The two fight once more and the Scorpion is nearly defeated when the Destructor arrives and attacks Ms. Marvel! The issue ends as the two Ms. M and the Destructor simultaneously subdue each other!
