-What do I want out of Braintree?: A soda, good times, and the chance to play what I write in my room with two friends in front of people to express myself. Too many bands out there are all about sounding like everyone else and end up sucking so much ass because of it. I listen to really melodic artists, but I also live for really agressive bands like Thrice and Finch, and really heavy bands like Sevendust and Mudvayne. To cap it all off, I listen to a lot of classical music, specifically Beethoven and Rachmaninov, so I have a strong appreciation for dramatic musical sophistication. I write a lot of aggressive riffs and throw some really melodic stuff on top if it all, and then arrange most of it all into a four minute pop song. Hopefully what comes out in the end is something people haven't heard before. But not really, so people get bored with it and go watch The Apprentice instead.
