| Magic at Midnight: Chapter 3 by: Fiction Fairy Ves Ves watched after the small sugar pink haired girl to make sure she was really gone. She made her way to the main throne room where Zerconia was. Hey, Zerk!” She exclaimed. “What is it?” he asked in an annoyed tone. “I have captured all of the Sailor Soldiers except the runt one and Pegasus, Sir.” She replied. An evil smile crossed Zerconia’s wrinkled face. “Good work, Ves Ves. You will be greatly rewarded for you excellent work.” He said. Jun Jun, Para Para, and Cere Cere were playing games and goofing off as usual. Jun Jun, who was listening from a hiding spot up high, suddenly piped up. “Hey, we did just as much as Ves Ves did!” Jun Jun argued in a stern voice. Zerconia turned his attention to the girl clad in green Arabian style clothing. “Ah, yes, but there is a difference between trying and succeeding in your mission. I shall let Queen Neilania decide the fate of the rest of you later.” He replied in a cold tone. Para Para revealed herself as well, taking a stand next to Jun Jun. “But, it’s not fair!” The girl clad in blue protested. “No one ever said this was supposed to be fair.” He replied shortly. “Now be gone from my sight!” he roared. Para Para trembled in the spot where she stood. Soon she could no longer keep enough courage to stay there any longer. She ran off in tears to go hide some where. Jun Jun stood her ground for a moment before spitting in Zerconia’s direction, even though he was up to high to reach with saliva, and stalked off, showing no emotions. Cere Cere followed close behind. Chibi-Usa had run so far without even noticing that she was back in the park where she started. The dark night sky started to slowly fade into a lighter blue. Tears began to swell up in her deep crimson eyes once again. “How could I be just like the rest of you?” She asked herself aloud. “You are no better than I, Sailor Moon.” Suddenly a thought caught up with her “Pegasus!” She cried. She dropped onto her knees and broke down sobbing once more. The sun started to rise slowly, casting orange, pink, and yellow light on her face. “I have to be strong!” She heaved in a deep breath, rose to her feet, and bit her bottom lip. She stared into the distance. “I’ll come save you Pegasus, no matter what!” With that she started running in the opposite direction back to the circus tent. |
