Name: Anton Getz
Age: 25
Sex: Male
Race/Nationality: American (Russian-English descent)
Theme Song: Offspring - "No Brakes"
Faction: Nightblades (for now)

Likes: Classical music, thunderstorms, the sound of thousands of soldiers marching in unison - and 'true love'.

Dislikes: People who are boring or lack 'vision'. Drunks, drug-users and hypocrites. People who drive at excessive speeds. Anyone who doesn't believe in love.

Strength: The ability to remain focused on a single task for hours, days, weeks and even months on end, sleeping rarely, eating lightly, and still concentrated completely on the goal. He doesn't know when to give up, and can be hard to predict. In a fight, he doesn't really notice he's hurt until he goes down.

Weakness: Obsessive, distant, somewhat insane. Hard time relating to most people. Simple, rather idealized view of the world does not fit with reality. Insists that people acknowledge his skills, which can lead him to leave clues and evidence of his passing whether he realizes it or not.

Basic Description of how character looks: Average height, thin, wiry. In very good shape, but not too muscular. Short, auburn hair, clean shaven at all times, hazel eyes - tending blue, but greenish in very low light. He has a youthful face and is usually considered somewhat handsome, with a goofy, disarming smile that is very rarely seen. From up close, one can see the worry lines beginning to develop on his forehead. Prefers to give a neat, professional appearance in suit and tie and shades whenever possible.

List of items or weapons carried: Modified Desert Eagle pistol, silenced. A photograph of himself and a young woman, with a message written on the corner in pen. "Anton: Good luck at the agency. I'll always be with you." It's in his pocket much of the time, except on business. An army knife, a lighter, a pair of shades, a men's wristwatch. Nothing else of note.

Profile: Born into a CIA family in Oklahoma; it was decided for him at an early age that he would follow in his father's footsteps as an agent, and the values of patriotism and loyalty were instilled in an early age. Because of the standards he was expected to meet, his upbringing was very harsh and he learned quickly not to show his true feelings. A naturally inquisitive, empathic, and poetic soul who was isolated in his youth, he shut away any impulse to be near others in order to avoid the wrath of his family and dedicate himself completely to what he would need to know to excel at the agency. He was considered very smart and was able to cultivate great speed and respectable strength, but by his late teens he had taken on the tendencies of a sociopath and was on the verge of splitting into multiple personalities, too, whenever his more sensitive nature would surface. He presented himself as calm and detached at all times.

All this, and neither his family, nor the agency, knew any better.

He was accepted right away, went through training, passed with flying colors. Even his psychological profile came out so normal they suspected he knew how to fool the tests - which was, of course, the case by then. He served for three years following the basic training, and was assisting in tracking down the triggerman for a suspected terrorist attack in the States when he ran headlong into an event that would change his life.

He was sent with some senior agents to oversee an emergency situation in a government building where a bomber about to arrive. The goal was to evacuate the people inside and cut off the criminal's escape. There was no bomb, but the terrorist, when cornered, took a hostage - a beautiful young woman who was the daughter of one of the older bureaucrats, visiting for lunch. It seemed the criminal would cut her throat to get himself out, but Getz, acting against orders, managed to subdue him and save her without a scratch. After all the paperwork was done and the suspect was behind bars, the two of them continued to see each other. For Getz, who had hardly counted anyone as a friend, the dawn of love was something incredible.

He would later describe it as the only time he could be his real self.

His good work got the attention of the brass, and as the time crisis was resolved, he was offered a position in the Nightblades at the age of 23. He served with them for two years before tragedy struck - the girl he saved, the only person he ever loved, was killed in a car accident. He took the news stoicly enough, but the thought of time travel would not leave his head. As a Nightblade, he knew the Pulse Devices created 'fake' universes, and it wasn't good enough. A plan began to form, to go into the past, to rescue her. He knows the technicalities behind time travel, but it doesn't matter to him. A world in which he can't be with her is one where he cannot live, and thinks no one else should, either.

Yesterday was his birthday. He saw some of his fellow agents, and smiled, and acted like everything was perfectly normal. But, he's just waiting for his chance to contact Resolution, hijack a time travel device, and disrupt Nightblade operations long enough to get clear. Anything he can discover about the secrets of time travel, or the operational parameters of the Nightblades or NNs, is on his agenda before he defects. As far as he knows, none of his comrades have discovered his plan. However, he is forever suspicious of everyone's motives, will go to any lengths to achieve his goal.
