It is well-known, that the era of active
development "of light-blue continent" began in 1943. On occupied
territories of France the young officer of the French Fleet Jak
Iv Custo together with the engineer Emile Ganyan has tested first
aqualung. Is not present, you do not think, that up to Custo were
not aqualungs. They were, but technically are imperfect and did
not provide personal safety of diver. J.I. Custo and E. Ganyan
have made the prototype of modern aqualung. Their tests and the
mistakes have defined all way of the further development of underwater
activity on a shelf of World Ocean.
In the USSR even before Great Domestic
war 1941-1945. The naval forces developed underwater activity.
All this, naturally, was to manufacture of saving works in the
sea. In 1925 in the USSR have begun development of submarines,
and in 1930 was constructed head. Now there was a question of
rescue of crew in case of failure. In this year in the USSR have
developed a model sample of the first domestic individual saving
device (ISA) for an output from an emergency submarine. All this
has given a push to active development of a underwater empire
at us in the country. In the basic underwater activity the military
seamen were engaged. But after a wide circulation aqualungs in
Europe to underwater activity gradually have begun to join many
fans. In our country it there was a scientific intelligency. Leaving
abroad on scientific conferences, they brought with themselves
underwater masks, fins and snorkels. The groups of people were
formed which have seen by the eyes the new world. The singularity
of a underwater empire so has grasped the people, that they become
for ever admirers of underwater immersings. Here so the group
of scientific intelligency was united in community of the fans
of underwater navigation. New association have begun to name as
Federation of underwater sports of the Ukrainian Republic. The
first president of the federation has become the candidate of
engineering science Viktor Gumenyuk. Scientific at Federation
carried out researches, put experiences, searched for the new
forms of activity. But as in the name of Federation there were
main - sports, about it did not forget. So by summer of 1959 was
decided, at the water station of republican sea club DOSAAF, in
a mouth of a gulf of Dnieper to lead competitions on navigation
and diving.
By results of the competitions the modular
team was selected which has set off in Alushta (Crimea, Ukraine).
In it have got: S. Shaposhnikova, N. Liashenkova, A. Yakimova, A.
Kononova, G. Uspenskiy, A. Nemchenko, V. Bogachuk, V. Doroshenko
- all students of the Kiev Institute of Physical Culture. The purpose
of this tax was preparation of the sportsmen for participation on
a Championship of Ukraine.
In 1959 was a Championship of Ukraine, which
program included the following exercises: 500 ì navigation , diving
in length and diving in depth. The first champion of republic has
become Georgiy Uspenskiy, fastly floated 500 ì in fins. In diving
the strongest has appeared Viktor Pasechnik. However rank of the
absolute champion of Ukraine was appropriated Arkadiy Luchanski,
which was the best in underwater exercises.
On a Championship of the Soviet Union the
situation of republican competitions has repeated. On 500 and 300
ì all first and prize-winning places were occupied by the sportsmen
of Ukraine. But with the beginning of underwater exercises the situation
sharply has changed. In a result, absolute champions of the USSR
- moskoviyes - Rem Stukanov and Elena Voronova.
However, the trainers could not reconcile
to a defeat on a Championship of the Ukrainian sportsmen. And already
in the following, 1960, in Alushrta, the modular team of Ukraine
confidently occupies the first place, and in 1961, in Novorosibirsk,
- second, in 1962 in Sukhumi, - again first. The Ukrainian sportsmen
won in 1965 on the international competitions. In structure modular
gets Zahar Berman(present president of Underwater activity of Ukraine),
Leonid Kudin(four times won a Championship of Ukraine), Aleksandr
Godovany , Ludmila Boyko , Georgiy Lysenko (first champion of Europe).
Since then Ukraine for a long time has become
the leader in underwater sports. On a post of the President of Federation
there comes the candidate of medical sciences A. Martinenko. Underwater
sports actively develop. In many cities of Ukraine opened sections
of underwater sports. The federation firmly has taken a rate on
achievement of high results on all-Union and international arena.
In 1962 on a post of the president of the Federation comes V. Bakrov.
Vitaliy Bakrov
of the beginnings to develop club sports. In Ukraine more than twenty
clubs have appeared. In 1968 the underwater sports are broken on
some kinds. So there is a finswimming and underwater orientation.
The new president of the Federation became Vladlen Kozak is actively
accepted for development of a medical substantiation of underwater
sports. There is a plenty of the literature devoted to underwater
sports.
In 1971 the new club SSCY(nowadays "Darnitsa") opens which here already during 30 years is one of the strongest
in the World. By the main trainer of the SSCJ became the first champion
of the world Georgiy Uspenskiy . The new era of development of underwater
sport in Ukraine begins.
