The Reserve Support Officer is a part-time police position in the Town of Dixfield. Candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Maine driver's license (or equivalent), be a High School graduate or possess a GED and have successfully completed the 100-hour Reserve Police Training Program of the Maine Criminal Justice Academy (or already be a certified full-time police officer in the State of Maine).
Reserve Support Officers DO NOT conduct patrol activities. Duties include prisoner transport and such other support duties as may be requested or assigned. Public safety issues are only addressed by Reserve Support Officers in emergency situations.
Reserve Support Officers answer to the Patrol Sergeant. They are also responsible to assist and cooperate with all other full-time police personnel as they are assigned. |
