Free fragrance
It seems like the last few months, we've been getting in the mail a lot of those perfume inserts...you know...the ones you usually find in magazines and stuff, and you unfold the flap and rub your wrists against it. Well not me...nuh-uh...not me...I rub that whole damn thing all over my body. I rub every single molecule out of those things. I smell pretty good by the way. You know when you check into a hotel room, man I LOVE getting those free coffee packets, even though I never drink them...and those free soaps and shampoos...oh man...I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT. In my defense though...THEY ARE FREE!!! You're supposed to use them. Thursday, October 28, 2004
So last night, me and Paul got into a verbal argument. I mean we were YELLING AT THE TOP OF OUR LUNGS at each other and all up in each others faces. It was like I was back in my high school and college days of fighting. All because someone left dishes in the SINK. HA HA HA HA...HOW STUPID ARE WE?!?!? Paul was able to bring the tone back down and after that we started to discuss things like mature adults....but WOW, I mean we were like two powderkegs that went off or something. One second I thought for sure one of us was going to the hospital with all those kitchen knives and heavy pots and pans right next to us, and then the other second we were cracking jokes again and laughing at each other again. As much as I'd like to soon forget last night, I think it was good that we cleared the air, although we could have probably picked a more peaceful way to communicate. Proverbs 27:15 - As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. This means we can affect each others lives, in good ways, but also in bad ways. I got to figure out how not to rub anyone the wrong way, including my roommates.
God, I'm such a sinner. Please save me from my own sinfulness. Wednesday, October 27, 2004
Uh oh...looks like my cover has been blown. My co-worker was asking me if I had a web log, because he heard from another co-worker that I had one. Looks like my cover has been blown. I need to switch websites or something. just kidding. I wouldn't do that to my faithful readers. Thank you mom. So last night I spent a few hours at a budget meeting. Going to one of those things gives you good insight on how the church runs. It's a good thing only leaders have to deal with that. What a headache!!! So anyway I think I was able to suggest one or two things here or there. Today I totally forgot about a test shot I was supposed to cover. A co-worker called me and asked me if I was going to come out. While looking at my palm pilot, I was like, "what are you talking about?" Then I loook at the printed schedule and exclaim, "Oh Crap!!!" I totally forgot to write in the event into my palm pilot!!! I hate when I do that. I need to learn to rely less on technology and more on my mind. Also began to watch "FahrenHYPE 9/11" last night. Talk about WEAK. It's supposed to be the response to "Fahrenheit 9/11". I have yet to finish it, but from what I have seen, I'm not too impressed. It's obviously an attempt to follow the same style of filmmaking, but so far hasn't lived up to it's "hyped" expectations. The general feeling I'm getting is that same feeling when you go to the outdoor market place to buy an expensive pair of OAKLEY sunglasses only to go home and find out they are really "OAKNEY" sunglasses. OMG...this website is so funny. Check out Hanzi Smatter which is a website about Chinese tatoos. One post reads as follow: ...I read in the paper about an exchange student from Beijing who was arrested because he purposely tattooed foul things on unsuspecting caucasians and others. He was found out when one girl went to a club in an area with a higher asian population than normal. Apparently the tattoo going in a line down from her belly button to her waist meant "Insert General Tso's Chicken here" instead of "Peace and Serenity will be your salvation"... Here is an article (although I don't think this is really true).
I like mice. I think they have such cute little faces. I like rats even more, because they are bigger and smarter than mice. I would never pick up a wild rodent, but if they are tame, the can be the coolest little pets. My list of pets when I was in high school.

I was feeling so tired at work today, that I had to go to my car and take a nap. I thought a short 30 minute powernap would do the trick, but when I looked at the clock again an hour had already passed by. In retrospect, I should have driven to a different parking spot away from the door, as I'm wondering if several people saw me napping in my car. A pet peeve of mine is when co-workers stop by my cube to chat, and I don't mean a quick chit-chat. I mean these people stay in the cube even after there's been a long awkward silence. You'd figure with nothing left to say, they would leave and get back to work, but today and last week, I've wasted so much time talking to them. This already when I waste enough time in a day by myself, they have to come into my cube and waste more of my time. argh... Oh well. So anyway, a new thing I'm going to do is get rid of all my food by the time I move out of the apartment. Which means eating noodles that I have had for close to 2 years, or making teas or coffees that have been around for god-knows how long. The only problem are the ingredients I don't know how to cook with...like containers of grains that I have no idea what they are. I can't get myself to throw them out either. It's kind of funny because Yujin and Lynnette are afraid to eat my cooking sometimes. ha ha ha. Sunday, October 24, 2004
It's getting really hard to crawl out of bed these mornings. As the cold morning air is touches my body, it stiffens up all the while hoping the numbing chill will wear off quickly. So I jumped into the bathroom to take a hot shower. Midway through the shower turns cold. I think Yujin used up some of the hot water. After church today we went to the vietnamese restaurant down the street. I'm realizing that I REALLY like vietnamese Bun. After that there was a political discussion about the presidental elections at church. It was pretty cool to debate with others, but unfortunately I had to leave early for a multimedia meeting. After that I dropped Hannah off and dropped off a care package for Sueen who is sick and went home. Sujin and Heejin both came over and the girls cooked dinner. We had bi-bim-bap. We were so stuffed. We also watch the Korean movie "Sex is Zero"...which is like the movie "American Pie" except a LOT more worse. I had to skip certain scenes because I didn't want to corrupt their innocent, pure minds. Saturday, October 23, 2004
Emmanuel Mouse
This morning I woke up at 10am. I was supposed to be at Ed's place at 9:30. I got to Ed's place at 11am, but the move went well. Sun is now officially moved in with Ed. We had lunch at AppleBee's. Honestly I've never thought that place was that great. In fact almost everytime I go, I have a very bad impression of that place. This time it was food all over the booth-style seats, tiny hair clippings on the menu, sticky tables, smelly bathrooms (the smell that comes from bathrooms that aren't cleaned). I don't think I'll be going there again. I stopped by church to fix the computer, and burn a sermon CD. As I opened up the cabinet, I saw the very elusive "Emmanuel Mouse", lying in a state of eternal rest. I suppose he was trapped in the cabinet and died of hunger or thirst, even though the bottom shelves contains lots of food.

Wow...I had another interesting dream. I was in part of this fall-out style community, which was basically the size of a small house in Korea. It was dirty, dark, and very cluttered. I was being banished from their world. Like a dog with it's tail between it's legs, I crawled out the almost blocked exit (since no one ever really goes in or out) over piles of garbage and refuse. I finally made it out the door, and on the other side I found myself crawling out from the choir door in our church sanctuary. Needless to say it was very strange...but even stranger, was that while I was talking toward the pews...I realized there were no pews. It was basically a GIGANTIC KING SIZED BED meant for God himself or something. I mean this bed was basically where the pews were supposed to be. As I walked by I could see something move underneath the covers. And then Song appears from under the covers, and says Hi. Then I see Nancy and a bunch of other people as well. I guess they were having a giant slumber party or something.
I'm watching "The Apprentice" right now. OMGoodness, I didn't see it until now, but STACY has a BIG NOSE!!! I mean a big witch-like nose. I bet she could fit a walnut in her nose. I thought I would try and have fun with this picture. Thursday, October 21, 2004
Dang...I bumped into Quiet Girl AGAIN...and NO I'm not stalking her. I was taking care of someone's neglected plant. It's a cool looking grassy plant. I think a type of papyrus...and she walked by and asked me if it was mine. We were able to chit chat for a little bit. I asked her if she likes plants and she told me she had a fern, and bamboo in her cube. I have two plants in my cube as well. One California Poppy, and something else. I'm not quite sure because I basically stole a clipping from someone else's plant and grew my own. So anyway she also likes to go work out...something I need to do more of. Maybe I should join her gym. Ha ha ha ha...I'm just kidding. Went home to cook some dinner and Pastor Dwight came over. Had some creamy pesto spaghetti, with manhattan clam chowder (from the can) and garlic bread. Then I come right back to work to put in more hours.
Just bumped into "Quiet Girl" again...and all I can think about is. She drives me crazy
She drive me crazy - Fine Young Cannibals
Paul Hamm, YOU MEATHEAD!!!Give back Yang Tae-young his gold medal. Well at least you'll never really be able to enjoy that gold medal because it's tarnished with the fact that you didn't actually earn it, but won it because someone made a mistake adding up the points. In other news, I lost my blue Bic Clic Stic!!! I was sooooo close to using that sucker up completely!!! I can't believe I LOST it!!! Honestly I think someone stole it from my desk. I remember using it to scratch the inside of my ear with it. Ooops...was that too much information? Also today we had an All Hands On meeting for our department. That's 350 some employees in our department, which had an overhead cost of $12,000. They also said that we need to hire 35 extra engineers just to our department alone...and our department is doubling the corporate Lockheed Martin employee referral bonus from $1,500 to $3,000. Dang that's a lot of mulah. Oh...needless to say I came into work REALLY late today...at 1pm. I think that's the latest in several months.
Call me stupid, Caffeine and No Comment
I just can't believe it's almost 5am, and I'm still not asleep. I tried to go to sleep earlier but ended up getting up and decided to watch this movie. I'm sure I'll be regretting it tomorrow...or rather I should say, later on today.

Fire Alarms, Fate, and Fish...
On another F note, I think my fish is going to die. It's just kind of lying listless on the gravel.

So I heard this FUNNY joke. Actually I thought it was kind of stupid but since my friend Andy posted it on his blog as an anti-Kerry joke, I thought I'd make it an anti-Bush joke...and surprisingly it fits even better. I'll explain after the joke. It goes something like this... A cowboy was herding his cows in a remote pasture when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced out of a dust cloud towards him. The driver, a young man in a YSL suit, Fendi shoes, Bvlgari sunglasses and an Armani tie leans out the window and asks the cowboy, "If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will you give me a calf?" The cowboy looks at the man, obviously a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, "Sure. Why not?" The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell notebook computer, connects it to his AT&T cell phone, surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite navigation system to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo. The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany. Within seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot that the image has been processed and the data stored. He then accesses a MS-SQL data base through an ODBC connected Excel spreadsheet with hundreds of complex. He uploads all of this data via an email on his Blackberry and, after a few minutes, receives a response. Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet printer and finally turns to the cowboy and says, "You have exactly 1586 cows and calves." "That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says the cowboy. He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on amused as the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car. Then the cowboy says to the young man, "Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?" The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, "Okay, why not?" "You're a consultant for President Bush's campaign." says the cowboy. "Wow! That's correct," says the yuppie, "but how did you guess that?" "No guessing required." answered the cowboy. "You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew, to a question I never asked; and you don't know anything about my business....... Now give me back my dog. So anyway Bush is from Texas, and we all know cowboys are from Texas...so the theme fits perfectly. Then you have the joke about showing up even when nobody asked (i.e.-US storming into Iraq). They wanted to get paid (i.e.-oil money), for an answer they already knew (i.e.-there was no connection with Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein), to a question never asked (i.e.-Does Saddam have anything to do with 9/11?). On second thought...that joke is pretty funny now. YoAndy...thanks.

Things that make you go Hmmmm...
Rant of the day: Another reason I'm not voting for Bush...him and his cronies are shady. Karl Rove, Bush's chief political strategist, appeared in front of a grand jury to find out who leaked the name of a CIA agent. Read the article. In short, Bush made a claim that Saddam Hussein was trying to buy uranium from Niger (which was later discredited). This guy Joe Wilson (former Ambassador) criticized President Bush's claim. Later, information about Joe's wife, a CIA agent, was leaked into the papers. Possibly as retribution for criticizing Bush. That's jacked up. The information was leaked from the WHITE HOUSE. THAT'S BUSH'S HOME!!! And Bush hasn't lifted a finger to help get to the bottom of it.

Wow today was hectic. Good thing I decided to bring the laptop, because when I got to church I found out that the CD-ROM drive does not work. So I couldn't copy the presentations that people had copied onto CD-R's. I thought, no sweat, I'll just use the laptop. Then I realized that the laptop does not have a floppy disk drive (of which I had the songs, sermon, and announcements on). So I had to swap between desktop and laptop during the sermon, not to mention the laptop was acting unusually slow. I think something is wrong with the computer. A bunch of us went to Vietnam Palace for lunch. Everytime I go to a Vietnamese place I have to order Bun. It was satisfying. Then after we drove back to church, I dropped Carolyn off, and she went to her car to go home. I went back into church to fix the CD-ROM drive. 15 minutes or so later, Sarah Sung walks into the office asking for a band-aid. I pulled one out of my wallet (always keep one handy in your wallet, you never know when you'll need it). She told me Sun got cut while removing some stuff on Carolyn's car because she got into a car accident. The whole front bumper came out. Some black dude rammed into her as she was coming out of the parking lot. It's pretty hard to tell who's fault it was. Both parties pointing fingers at the other driver. I think the case is stacked against Carolyn, especially since the black cops seem to take more pity on that roudy guy than sweet, innocent, timid and visibly shaken-up Carolyn. The black lady officer was actually pretty mean. I took some pictures of Carolyn's car, and I was going to take pictures of the other guys car but he told me not to. Rather than provoke the already angry man, I turned to the lady officer and asked her if it was okay to take pictures of the other car to which she RUDELY responded to me. I said very firmly but politely, "Excuse me, what's with the attitude?". I felt so emboldened that I could talk back to a police officer without fear of getting a ticket. HA HA HA. I think that lady realized my point because instead of her going off on me, she kind of remained silent. So after church I went to K-mart to pick up some Guinea Pig food, and then went to work for a few hours. Yeah yeah yeah, I know, I know...Keep the Sabbath Holy. So I went home, ate some leftovers, and watched Saved! This movie is kind of interesting but kind of messed up how they portray Christians. I'm not sure exactly what the purpose of this film was for but I can definitely see hardcore or gungho conservative Christians really having a problem with this film. But dang, I didn't realize how hot Mandy Moore was. After seeing her play that role, I totally want a girl like her. ha ha ha.

Today Shao moved all his stuff out. I finally have the room ALL to myself. My room is soooo much larger now, and finally I feel like my rent is worth it. Literally my room and closet space has doubled in size. Our living room is soooo much more spacious now, but our TV is much tinier too, but I put my DVD/stereo system in the living room and the sound is much better. I'll take some pictures of the apartment during the week. I was supposed to go to work today and finish a project, but I just ended up staying at home cleaning up and rearranging the place. Today was also the first time in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time vacuuming my room. I also realized today that I have SOOOOOO much junk. I gotta lighten up my load. When I move to Korea, I'm going to have to learn out to boot-strap it...living with the bare necessities. I'm actually looking forward to it. I want to live like a PURE 100% Korean. That means sleeping on the floor with blankets, and with the traditional mother-of-pearl folding table.
Hmmm. Where do I start. Work on Friday was just so-so. I didn't wake up as early as I wanted, so I'll have to work a lot tomorrow (or today I should say). I left work around 4:30pm and did some grocery shopping before coming home to cook. I cooked some Indian food with Basmati rice, and some sausage with vegetable stir-fry for the main dish. I also cooked some Corn-Clam Chowder again. This time I didn't screw it up, and it came out really well. Cut open some bread rolls to make bread bowls for the chowder, and served it as the soup. Sarah came early and made the hummus for me, but for some reason, it came out REALLY salty. Needless to say I have a whole bowl full of hummus. Then to end, we had tiramisu. Everything but the bread was homemade. Jamie also brought a cake for Mark, since his birthday was this past week. Our small group discussion was about prayer. We talked about why it's important, and how we should expand our "prayer circles". The inner most circle being ourselves, and the outter circles being such things as the church, our city, our state, our nation, the world. As we got down to pray, Jamie started off by praying for the elections being held in Iraq. Mark interrupts the prayer by saying Afghanistan. Then almost everyone correct Mark by saying its in Iraq. Jamie continues with her prayer saying "...before I was rudely interrupted" and then we all just burst into laughter. Some people might say that we were being insincere in our prayers, but I truly believe our prayers were being heard.

Last night I had a web/multimedia team meeting at Mark's new place. It was nice. He has a spacious loft right in Chinatown. Also met Lisa for the first time, who is interested in helping out with our website. Drove her back home in Ardmore, before heading back home and making dessert for tonight's small group. I tried to make Tiramisu, but we'll see how it tastes. It's supposed to be a quick and easy recipe. Then as I went to bed I watched the rest of "Once upon a time in Highschool". DANG...talk about DEPRESSING MOVIES. This ranks right up there with Sex is Zero as far as depressing movies. There wasn't even a hint of a happy ending. I think there could definitely be a sequal to this movie. It felt like this movie ended with unfinished business. Just as the screen went black I shook my head in discord, thinking to myself, "This can't be the ending"...but sure enough those credits started to roll up the screen. Funny story. I rented this Korean movie called Sex is Zero. The title in itself leads you to believe it's some kind of porn movie, but after seeing it was rated very high by other subscribers, and the fact that it had Lim Chang-Jung (a very popular Korean singer), I figured it can't be a porn movie. It basically amounts to a Korean version of the movie "American Pie". Very crude and crass. So anyway these two people were looking through my DVDs and they saw this DVD, and gave me this strange look. I'm convinced one of the girls has a very different image of me now. I felt a whole lot of judgement being piled on me while she gave me that look. ha ha ha. Oh well, what can I do now.

I think I'm sick. I'm sneezing and sniffling. This morning I woke up all stuffed up. I cleared my nose and throat and hacked up some pretty thick mucus.
I guess the reason why I was late this morning is because I was watching another Korean movie called, "Once upon a time in High School". It's actually pretty good, and the actor fits the main character pretty well I think.

Today after work I went to Jillian's. They were hosting a Johnnie Walker Red Label event called Red Hot Poker Nights. Basically it was a Red Label tasting / Texas Hold'em poker event. I went with Sujin, and it was kind of fun. The winning table got Johnnie Walker fleeces. Our table lost. But we all did get parting gifts which included a small 375ml bottle of Red Label. After that we played some PUMP, sky hockey, and this table hockey game. All in all, a pretty fun night.
As you can tell from my Oct. 8th post. I'm trying to save money. I think I just might go to the grocery store and stock up on this soup which is usually around $2 a can. Last night I had New England Clam Chowder that I jazzed up with a little bit of green onions, broccoli and bacon. YUM! Also began to watch a little bit of the Korean movie, "Ditto". So far it's not bad. Kind of cute movie I think. I'll probably finish the rest of it tonight when I go to bed. I generally watch these things falling asleep, which is why I was late for work today. I was supposed to be in at 9am, but didn't get in until 10:30am. oops.

On Sunday me and my parents watched two Korean movies. They really liked Shil-mi-do. I watched it for a second time and caught several details I missed the first time. Also seeing it again I realized the movie could have been made a little more coherent...but overall it was still pretty good. One thing I still don't understand is why the Unit 684 was singing communist songs. Any ideas anyone? So we also watched another movie called Wild Card. That movie was pretty good as well. It's about policemen trying to find this group of bad guys. This morning I woke up at my leisure. I decided I would work half a day at work, and that I could go into work any time. So parents booked a 2:50pm flight. I came into work at 4:30pm...but my head hurts, so I'm thinking of just going home...since it's Columbus Day anyway...and it's also Thanksgiving in Canada (according to my calendar). So anyway after reading this article, I'm entertaining the idea of shaving a big crossed-out W in the back of my head. I need to review our dress code policy at work though just to be on the safe side.
Saturday, October 9, 2004
So yesterday after work, I went home to cook some dinner for our small group. I made some Asian beef & noodles. It was basically some ground beef, some shredded cabbage and onions, and Oriental flavored Ramen noodles. It wasn't as tasty as I thought it would be but it wasn't bad either. Everyone seemed to like it. Small group was at Semi's place and boy she cook a lot. We had this kind of Korean pancake, and bool-goh-gi, as well as some duk-bok-gi and this kind of seafood salad. It was all very good. During our bible study, Mark said something that stuck with me. He asked, "Are we going to church to meet our friends, or are we going to church to meet God?" When he said that, I felt kind of bad, because meeting God isn't the first thing on my mind when I go to church and it should be. I'm hoping God will allow me to grow spiritually. I still feel like I'm an infant spiritually and I've been a "Christian" almost my whole life!!! I had to leave small group a little early to drive down to my brother's house in VA.
Friday, October 8, 2004
I stayed up until like 4AM watching Shil-mi-do. But I didn't finish it. It was getting too late and I need to get some sleep. Here is an interesting article about this movie. I didn't realize until reading this, that the movie is based on true events!!! Read the article...it's very interesting. Read more about Shil-mi-do. Then I woke up around 7:30 in the morning. I guess I was in between my sleep cycle or something. So I decided I should get up earlier rather than later, because otherwise I know I wouldn't be able to get into work until 11am or noon. We'll see if I can hold up through tonight. I'm even thinking of driving down to my brother's place in Virginia tonight, but we'll see. Man...I just looked at my credit card bill and I'm shocked at how much money I spend. Here are some of the totals for a one month period
* This is partly because when I go out to eat with people I charge the whole thing to my credit card and collect money from people. It gives me extra airline miles and saves me a trip to the ATM. DANG, I need to stop spending so much money.

Had prayer meeting at my place again. Dinner was a disaster I think. I made a bread bowl with spinach dip, which was pretty good. I also made this southwest style meatloaf, but I missed an important ingredient. I forgot the tortilla chips. As a result the meatloaf came out very watery. The tortilla chip was supposed to soak up the extra moisture. Then my corn and clam chowder would have came out pretty good if I didn't burn it. Since there is milk and cream in the recipe, the chowder started to burn under the high heat. As a result, the chowder had a smoked flavor. Everyone said the chowder reminded them of campfire food because of the smokey flavor.

Oh by the way if you plan to watch the movie, you only have until tomorrow (Thursday) to watch the movie, because that's the last day it's being shown, and it's only showing at Lowes - Cherry Hill at the time being. I wouldn't be surprised if it plays at the Ritz theaters sometime soon though.

Monday was Cheap Chicken day. Well actually the fried chicken isn't such a great deal anymore. At ACME supermarket, fried chicken used to be $5.99 for a dozen pieces. Now it's only 8 pieces for the same price. Bought some wild rice, which is pretty darn expensive and mixed it in with regular long-grain rice and butter, and made some mac & cheese w/tuna. That was our dinner. Today I just reheated some left overs and had a quick dinner before rushing off to church for a committee meeting. While we were talking on the 2nd floor chapel, we could hear stuff scurrying across the tiled ceiling. Mice were running across the tops of the tiles. It was actually quite disturbing. At one point, we heard this HEAVY scampering. It almost sounded like there were dogs and cats running up on top of the tiles, but most likely it was just a big rat. After the meeting was over I had to run up to the dark 3rd floor chapel to burn a sermon onto a CD. As I entered the chapel, I heard a loud shudder. It was obviously a startled mouse trying to bury itself into the clutter under the table just beside the door. I had to walk into dark chapel to turn on the lights which was several yards away from the door. That whole time my heart was POUNDING. It's kind of funny to think I would be scared in a CHURCH OF ALL PLACES...but in all fairness, any place that is dark, can be scary. So anyway I turn on the lights and walk back to the table and kick some boxes under the table, hoping to flush out the tiny mouse. ALL OF A SUDDEN a cat jumps out at me and starts thrashing me. I'm just kidding. So I'm kicking on the boxes, and all of a sudden I see this brown blur streak past me. As it ran past me and past some chair, I heard a loud THUD, as the tiny mouse ran into one of the legs of the chair. I had a good laugh.
I don't know what it is, but yesterday and today, I've had a very hard time staying awake at work. I don't think I've been doing anything different in terms of my schedule or routine. For about a week now I've had this canker sore on my lip. I bit my lip while eating. Also for the last few days my throat has been feeling very sore as well. Now I have to be very careful what I eat, otherwise it hurts like a mother! Aside from that life is busy. I still have a ton of stuff to do, and not enough time to do it. Some stuff all the top of my head is.
Tonight is supposed to be the Vice Presidential debate. I think foreign policy is and should be the biggest criteria for this election. I think religious beliefs such as which candidate is pro-life or pro-choice should take a back seat to the more burning issue of which leader can garner back the respect of the international community. Bush's individualistic, gun-toting, "Don't Mess with Texas" frame of mind just doesn't work with the rest of the world, and I think because of that, we as a nation are hated world-wide (except for maybe Britain). I just don't think a leader of the most powerful nation in the world can effectively lead our nation, if he doesn't have the respect from its citizen, much less other nations? As Bush and his administration has constantly said about Iraq, I think the same needs to be said here too. REGIME CHANGE.

Today I went to church and had a minor glitch. A part of the sermon slides would not read off the floppy disk, and so I had to quickly redo the section of the slides that would not work. I guess God is trying to keep me on my toes. After church a few of us went to Pho Hao for some lunch. After that I had to go back home and did some grocery shopping to prepare some veggies and dip for a welcoming dinner. Only 2 new-comers showed up. It was pretty disappointing, but it was still a good time for welcoming and fellowship. I must have been REALLY tired on Saturday because after coming back from the LoveMercedes Tour, I napped for a few hours. Then woke up to work on the sermon slides for the rest of the night. Here are some pictures of the tour. It was pretty cool to just really open up the throttle on those cars. Best part of the whole thing was that it was absolutely free. Here are some pictures.

Man it's a beautiful day outside. I'm only going to work half a day today since I also need to get some stuff done at home. For those of you who question whether Kerry looks like a president, worry no longer. Just remember, Kerry is money!!!
