| Fae, the Keeper and Guardian of the Forest, raises her arms over her head in concentration. After a few moments, she begins to mutter under her breath. The words are soft, and they slip over your ears. It is as if you are hearing them from under a veil of water. You think that if you could hear them, it wouldn't matter, becuase you could never understand them. As Fae chants, a small pin prick of light appears before her. With each word Fae speaks, the dot of light grows, and grows untill it becomes the size and shape of a large door. The elf's words become stronger and the glowing door way dissapears. You frown, but say nothing, for Fae is still chanting. The space where the light had been suddenly begins to waver. It trembles and shimmers as if a great heat was rising out of the ground causing marages. You gasp and take a step back when the shimmering air begins to melt. The air drips and oozes down to the ground where it dissapears. With each drop of air that melts, the background comes with it. It is as if Fae is melting a hole through reality itself. "Now, hurry on through. I don't have all day!" The elf says impacently. You appoligize for standing and gauking, then hurry though the gateway. The first thing that hits you when you step through is the change in tempeture. Standing in the field, it had been warm and plesent. Now, the air is very cold. You shiver while taking in your surroundings. The ground is soft and sandy. It is very uneven, marked with holes and pockets, creating a very strange surface. If you didn't know better, you would think that you were on the moon. You laugh at your silly idea. You turn around slowly, frowning at the strange way you move. Like zero gravity. Ha! Another sitlly idea. Thats when you see the earth, in its full glory. Your mouth drops open, and you gap at the earth. Maybe you really are on the moon! "Yep! You sure are! And yes, that is the earth." You spin around, again, with the strange no weight feeling. You gap again, mouth wide open. Standing before you is a fairy. Her hair is dark red, cut close around her sholders. Her eyes are the same color are her hair. Her wings are a dull brown color. Her dress is short, and resembles a rose. Over all, she is very beautiful. "Hi! I'm Briar Rose! You can call me Briar though. I am the Keeper for a dragon from Lanter Light Dragons. And yes, you are on the moon." Why the moon you ask, and why can you breath up here. "Ah, well, to how you can breath, its because there is a huge protective bubble around his home, so we can breath normal air. And why the moon? Because space dragons love... well... space! So here we are! Would you like to meet Yuusei? She is a blue space dragon. Just what we were hoping for!!" You say you would love too. Briar floats foward to a small crater in the ground. "Yuusei!!" She calls out. Out of the crater rises a beautiful female dragon. She is blue all over, with star-like spots all over. She has two beautiful wings, a long tail, but no legs. "Mmmm... Briar... why'd ya wake me up?" "We have a guest." The dragon looks closer at you and then smiles. "Ahhhh!! A human!! Strange creatures you things are. No wings and so many leggy things." Briar grins. "Well, I suppose you are here to worship me in all my glory. I understand. It's hard not too. You are free to love me." You giggle, and the dragon looks at you strangly. "Well, anyways, you woke me up from my nap, so I'm going back to sleep. Good night!" And with that she is gone, back into her crater... |
