Honestly? I could ask you what is your best definition of love. And the best part is that I know that you would all give good definitions. Your definitions would be so good that I would tell myself that I couldn't have found a better definition. However, if I could take a look at your life, would I be able to feel that love? There are people who are easy to love. There are people that are not easy to love. How do you deal with them? I have learned to give, give, give. Love, love, love. Always, always, always. Without reasons. Now, is that easy to do? Of course not! This is challenge. A daily challenge. Here is what I think love is. Trying to explain the nature of love is like trying to describe to a deaf person the most beautiful masterpiece of Mozart: Love which chases fear and has confidence in life. The one who risks his heart on unknown paths. The one who leaves a country, a field, an house, and brings with himself nothing else but a little bag. Love is not any kind of love who is ready to give his life for his friends, for his family. Love which knows how to give when we ask for help and which gives without counting and doesn't expect anything in return. Love which dares to talk when everybody remains in silence. And which refuses to play at the game of perfect people. The one who goes till the end when he chooses to forget and seems insane when he keeps loving unconditionally. Love which gives hope when everything seems to be over and can believe without seeing that it's made for eternity. |
